No Candy for V
“Just calm down, we are only trying to help you. We are going to give you something to relax you. Nobody is going to hurt you... you're safe here. Okay?” the nurse pleaded with Veronica while the girl was in a panic and acting irrational. Restrained at the wrists, the girl cried with an intensiveness, unrecognizable ramblings as she balled her fists tightly and squirmed upon the hospital bed. “It's going to be alright, just calm down.” the compassionate nurse said yet again, this time getting Veronica's attention. Their eyes met and held; the woman could see the pain within her dark hues. How much she had been through and how much she needed help. The nurse gave Veronica a small smile and gazed into her eyes just as she stuck the young punk in the thigh with a needle. “Just a little something to help your panic attack dear.” she said calmly and quickly made her exit out of the room.

Heart racing, shortness of breath and stiffness in her neck, Veronica continued to cry. Her sinuses began to clog and she pulled at the restraints. Raising her knees under the hospital sheet, it was so thin why to bother having it to begin with. Veronica let her head lay back upon the pillow, tears ran down her bruised cheeks and pumped from her swollen eyes. White of her right orb a shade of red, blood capillaries and proteins busted to a point of permanent vision impairment. Lips in the same condition, mangled, bruised here... and there. Dirt under her nails along with dried blood with twigs in her hair. It was obvious by the visual she had been through a great deal.
Soon, she settled down; though her knees swayed back and forth and her arms began to jerk at different times all on their own. As if her brain hadn't given them the signal to move but yet they are. It was a strange feeling Veronica couldn't explain even if she tried. She suddenly got that “I want to jump out of my skin” feeling. Uneasiness, an unbelievable restlessness; again she squirmed in bed and tried to free her hands in which was impossible. Moments later, unable to stand the side effects of what was injected into her thigh, she was able to reach the emergency call button for the nurse.

About thirty minutes later, the nurse returned with a soft grin in place, almost like she had Botox and was only able to smile, nothing less. It was contagious actually, it almost made Veronica want to return such a facial gesture. “Please ma'am, I am having Akathisias from whatever you gave me.” Veronica informed with a sincere expression. The nurse nodded, understanding this side effect and how uncomfortable it would be making her. “I will bring Ativan for that, but, only if you tell us what happened.” the nurse spoke with a sneakiness to her voice and at this point, what did it matter if Veronica stayed quiet, she was dead either way.

“Al..right...” the trembling girl nodded up at the nurse, her brows furrowed, her pupils dilated-black holes. The nurse then went to retrieve the medication and not too long later returned to the room Veronica was being held in. Holding up a filled syringe in her face, the nurse demanded. “Tell me!” Veronica squirmed, her legs jerked sporadically, she really wanted that Ativan.

“Okay, okay... I got all dressed up to go out for Halloween. I hadn't been out of the house in about a week, in and out of bed mostly, not doing much as my depression had taken over me. It was time for my car on the roller-coaster to take a nosedive. Anyway, I got invited to a Halloween party from a friend and it was supposed to be pretty legit. I must admit I did a bunch of drugs, I don't even remember what all I did. Feeling high, high, so high... I started dancing with this guy. I don't know the guy, but he was kinda cute and wanted to show me a good time. Thought that would be alright so I left with this guy, he was being really nice and saying sweet things as we danced and got me a drink several times before we left from the house.

I am not sure how, but, I ended up in a car with a bunch of guys. About five and they were speaking a different language that I didn't understand. The guy and I started kissing and I was on his lap in the back. I remember him touching me all over and kissing my neck. All I remember after that was waking up in a small room all alone, naked and afraid, hanging from the ceiling by a rope and a hook that tucked under my tied up hands.
A piece of fabric wrapped around my head, gagging me slightly and bringing me to full alertness. The room was red and I felt pain, I looked down to find fresh blood streaming from big slices up and down my upper legs. My thighs quivered and I was going into shock, I could see myself in a mirror before me and I began crying in fear. I couldn't feel my feet anymore, nor my hands; I didn't want to make to much noise in-case it would lure somebody to come in. I must have had a streak of luck or something I don't know. But my wrists were bloody and somehow, someway... My hands slipped out of the restraints and my broken body fell a few feet to the floor.

A pool of my own blood upon the floor, I fell right into it and rolled onto my back to rest for a moment. I knew I didn't have long. I tried to stand up and couldn't right away, the pain was too intense, my thighs were still bleeding. So, instead, I crawled across the floor and strangely enough the door to the room was unlocked and so was another door at the end of the hall that led outside. I struggled through the night to get to a road where I eventually was picked up. By that nice man that brought me in. So, now here I am, that is all that I know, I don't know anything else. I won't be able to tell you where it is I... I...” she began to get upset again, anxiety.
“Alright, alright just relax.” the nurse whispered and gave her the medicine intravenously. It calmed her down almost immediately and Veronica fell asleep without another peep. The nurse still kept a smile, covered the poor girl up and exited her room to document that the medication was given. Minutes later as the lady stood at her computer station, another nurse came to let her know an interesting fact. Veronica's brother Jared, her emergency contact was there to inform them to not believe any stories that she comes up with. Veronica got into a fight earlier in the night, she made those cuts herself and needs to be admitted this time.
or so he thought.

A little girl.

“Mrs. Blackwood, Dr. Laura will see you now.” said a receptionist behind a small window that was open just a tad. “Oh, yeah, okay.” she replied and stood up, pulling up her jeans a bit over her muffin top and sides. “I will be right back.” she said calmly, looking down at her daughter Veronica. “Right this way the receptionist spoke now from a door in the corner she opened to the waiting room.

Luna Blackwood followed the woman down a hallway with closed doors lining either side of the hallway. The lady brought her all the way down to the end of a hall and to an open door, the very last door on the right. The woman said nothing, just a partial smile and a nod with her head directed downward.

Entering the room, it smelled of new carpet and paint, the room was mid-sized with a rather large window that had a wonderful view of the parking lot. Luna stepped further inside, looking all around the space, she was unable to be present in the room last time Veronica had a session. “Please. Have a seat, Mrs. Blackwood.” Dr. Laura insisted, in which she did, legs crossed and her oversized purse plopped upon the floor next to her. “Just call me Luna.” she replied and they both gave a fake smile to one another.

Moments later the doctor pulled Veronica's file and opened it up, placing it down upon the desk. It was getting thicker and thicker by the visit. The visits were needing to be more frequent and closer together nowadays. She was not responding to treatment, in fact, she wasn't improving at all and was worsening instead. The young girl was living a traumatic life on a daily basis and she was silent about it. Veronica wanted to tell her therapist all about the abuse at home, the beatings, being forced to do horrible things, being raped, her and her brother. She wanted to scream it loudly and cry, get it all out in the open instead of carrying the weight every day; but, she just couldn't, and her mother would always make excuses for their father. Why they missed school so much, why they had broken ribs and black eyes; why they were becoming more and more disconnected from reality and it was changing significantly with young Veronica.

“Yes, Luna... I can not discuss many things with you due to privacy acts and HIPPA laws. I'm sure you already understand this considering how long you and your children have been in the system. However, it is my duty to inform you of the diagnosis of your daughter and what further treatments we can experiment with. You see, she has what we call an alter.” the doctor informed Veronica's mother in all seriousness. “What's that?” her mother questioned without any form of actual concern in her voice. “It is an alternate personality, Mrs. Blackwood, I mean Luna.” she answered. “Okay, so, what's that supposed to mean? More medicine we can't afford?” she asked, becoming annoyed. “No ma'am, that is not what I am getting at. Veronica is very sensitive and something traumatic must have happened recently to have this “alter” show itself. It is a little girl, her name is Lilliana.” the doctor spoke as if it was something normal and it was no big deal.

“You know what lady, I think you may need some pills yourself.” her mother said in a snotty manner. “Believe me or not Mrs. Blackwood, she will reveal herself to you in do time and when she does, she may hurt you.” she warned, standing up from sitting behind her desk. “Have a good day, will see Veronica back in two weeks for her medication check.” the doctor spoke just as the door opened, the receptionist there to escort her mother out of the office. Luna made an expression of disgust and grabbed her purse and stormed out into the waiting room where Veronica sat waiting quietly. Her mother then snatched her up out of the chair by her upper arm and drug her out of the office. “Let's go you little sh*t, or shall I call you Lilliana.” she scolded her all the way to the bus stop.
Veronica just looked up at her, never saying a word, never shedding a tear; because Lilli was there.

Following the wind

Sometimes there comes a time in one's life when they may feel perplexed. How did they become frozen by their everyday routines? Becoming consumed by their own lifestyles; eating away at them from the outside-in. With nobody to blame but themselves; how they ended up in this tar-pit, caught in the deep end. Unable to kick their feet, immobilized knees that will not bend. Extremities locked, alignment fixed, straight core. Sinking deeper down with pressure upon their chests, making it difficult to move air; nowhere left to go, options-limited.

The time should be used to its full potential, to reflect what they've done and what they possibly could have done. Who they're now, and who they could have possibly been? Why they're in this position, and how they could possibly escape it? It would be important to stay calm, don't force it, the resistance will only pull them down further; eventually swallowing them entirely.
The end of the road?
Agreement to the journey must be signed on the dotted line, before the grip that has them tightly in its grasp, gives them the power to depart from their own sinking ship. Submitting themselves to new outlooks, then gifted the tools needed to take that much needed first step to freedom. Travel to unknown destinations, with various wild encounters, fresh eyes, and an open heart. Finding thyself is a good way to start.

The visitor

Giggling, cheerful children playing.

“We will hide, Veronica you seek.” whispered the little boy Nathan, he shorter than the other two girls. Veronica and Olivia almost towered over the young one. His hair, only resembling that of a crow. The feathers, charcoal, but with just the right lighting reflected a rainbow of blueish-purple hues. The little girl Olivia, just as tall as Veronica, hair of a pretty auburn that many girls admired.

Pale faces with smiles as bright as the largest star.

Hunched over into a huddle formation; Veronica with her friends from the neighborhood. Darkness fell, the sun was getting all nestled in its bed. The moon was rising to be the night-owl that it is.

The kids were already supposed to be home for the night, being there was school the next day. Their games kept them distracted, time was meaningless, their impulses to carry on with their play was too overpowering for their young minds to overcome. It was easy for them to get carried away, lost in the scene, moments of happiness, pretend, their imagination running wild. Loaded with color and structure, ready to be used and in turn, a sense of fulfillment, joy, and perhaps a higher form of satisfaction; breaking the rules.

“I was the seeker just before,” she replied, making a face. The expression showing she didn't want to count again. “No you did not, I just did.” said Nathan, his tone sounding annoyed as it was rather easy for Veronica to bother him. Simple things she would do would get on his nerves, not that she meant to. The young girl was unaware, behaving as normal as she could.

Thinking she is in fact, normal.

“Fine, I guess, but after this, I have to get home. My brother will be worried,” she said softly, the children trying to play quietly as in not to attract the attention of any adults that would make them prematurely finish their game of Hide n Seek. “Great...” Nathan spouts out and he and Olivia ran off in different directions. Fading away into the darkness, all Veronica could see before long was a possible glimpse of white socks.

She sighed and turned around to face a tree, her mittens covered her face and blocked her vision. “1...2...3...” she counted a bit faster. “4..5..6..” and a little faster. “7.8.9.10. ready or not, here I come.” she yelled and quickly did a one-eighty, ready to run off as fast as she could and look in the spots they always would hide in.

Gasp...

Frozen...

She couldn't move, her head tilted up towards the sky. A black blanket with orbs of lights was the background of the portrait. A tall, dark figure; was it the boogeyman? Veronica was scared, her eyes filled with tears but they never fell to her cheeks. She was unable to blink, her jaw dropped, her mouth wide open. Her small frame began to tremble with fear. “Don't hurt me... Mummy!” she cried for her mother. Of course, she would be unable to hear Veronica as she was a bit of a way from home.

Stepping back, her posterior pressed against rough tree bark. The trunk was blocking her from moving any further away. One single tear found its way and trickled down her pale face. The being was attentive to this emotion and bent down, hovering over her like a giant. Like she was in some kind of fairy-tale and this creature wanted a friend. The little girl crouched down as the darkness hazed over her head. Coming closer and closer. She began to hyperventilate, shaking her head back and forth. “No, no... leave me alone.” she barely was able to whimper out the words she was having a panic attack.

The dark gray figure stretched its limb down, slowly, Veronica watched closely, quivering with fright her small hands gripped the tree behind her. Little pink painted nails dug into the texture, scratching up her nail-beds. The darkness reached, picking a flower and tried to give it to her. She looked at the tiny weed, it wasn't a beautiful red rose but it had meaning behind it. Perhaps it wasn't going to hurt her at all, maybe it just wanted a friend and she made it sad with her reaction.

“Um...” she sniffled, trying to calm herself down. “Th... thank you.” she said carefully, and cautiously extended her hand to retrieve the little gift. Veronica stopped shaking and crying and smiled just a little up at the object. “Will you be my friend?” she asked, head hung all the way back as she gazed up into the darkness.

Sitting down Indian style on the ground, she rested against the tree. Twirling the flowers steam between her thumb and forefingers. It seemed like only minutes had gone by but it had been over an hour. Veronica's older brother Jared that was at home waiting for her would definitely be pretty upset. Maybe he wouldn't be so mad once he met her new best friend.

“Veronica!” hollered Olivia as she came running up in a rush. “V... what are you doing? You never came to find us, we waited a long time. Nathan already went home or would get on punishment.” she said, a brow rising, her noticing Veronica's strange vibe. “Okay, meet my new friend first Olivia.” she replied with a big smile, her hues directed to the right of her as if someone was sitting there. Olivia just rolled her eyes, used to hearing weird nonsense come out of Veronica's mouth. “Yeah, nice to meet you. Come on V... now!” she scolded and grabbed Veronica by the hand and yanked her up from the ground. “Let's go...” Olivia chimed, hand in hand they began to skip off towards home. Veronica looked back behind them, more than once, over and over, but, nothing was there, just darkness, just...

Gray.

Story of v - Chapter 10

Story of v - chapter 10
"I guess you are right. How do you know Jose?" She asked, sitting back against the sofa and taking his coffee cup, having a sip without asking, and love every second of it. "Mm..." She purred, couldn't help it, then handed it back to him. He gave her a blank stare and then Vince smirked, and moved a little bit closer to her on the sofa. "I sell him drugs, but his brother is married to my sister." He answered. "I have something else for you though. You see when Jose came to me with this I couldn't say no, cause I owe him my life. But, I had to do a little research on you of course, before accepting such a challenge and possible headache. Ts k... you are one naughty girl Missy. Trouble is all over you." He laughed and roamed his eyes over her. "Anyway, I found something of yours that I know you will want, so come with me."

Vince then got up from the sofa, the cup still in his hand as he walked to the back door through the kitchen. Veronica took a minute but eventually got up, followed him to a shed in the corner of the small fenced backyard. He didn't say anything, just smiled at her before opening a door of the shed. What was he doing? Did he want her to stay in a shed outback? These questions ran through her mind for a moment, but as soon as she got a closer look, her heart dropped into her stomach.

It was just her dog inside the shed, Rambo. Veronica dropped to her knees immediately, smiling from ear to ear, tears developing in her eyes. Nobody understood how much she loved her precious dog. She rescued him years prior, and he is her loyal companion. Rambo, a white Shepard, a complete bad-ass. She hadn't forgotten, how could she forget him. There just wasn't anything she could do about being locked away for so long.

Rambo instantly ran full speed and jumped into her arms and pushed her to the ground, licking her face, and whining loudly. Veronica couldn't believe this, she hugged Rambo so tightly and rolled around in the dirt with him before getting up, and rushing Vince and hugging him as well, and she never hugged anyone. "Thank you, holy shxt, thank you so much." She bubbled, kissing his cheeks back and forth.

"Aha, you're welcome V, okay damn, that's enough." He said smiling and grunting, brushing her off of him. Vince, Veronica, and Rambo, then all went back inside of the small apartment and took a seat back down on the sofa. Rambo was, of course, sitting in her lap, and she now had her own cup of Joe. Veronica was stoked. Happiness wasn't something she was used to feeling. "I can't thank you and Jose enough." She said gratefully while sipping her coffee.

Vince soon looked down at his phone and replied. "No problem, here's the deal. You can stay here, I'll pay the rent. You pay for everything else you want for everyday living, tampons, all that. You can't be out working in the public for uncle Sam. You'll get busted, get yourself arrested again and your ass is going back to that place. This is your chance with my help. So, for money, you'll deal with me. You will sell what I give you to distribute, no matter what it is. No questions asked, and then I will give you a cut when it is all sold. Got it?" He asked, giving her a look of seriousness. "Aight, yeah, I got it." She said in response and nodded her head; seemed easy enough, no biggie. "Good, for now... I gotta go. I'll be back in a few days or so and make the drop-off. Do not contact Jose, nor that hospital." He instructed and tossed her an iPhone to use, and for him to contact her. Vince then got up from the sofa, sat down his coffee cup upon the small wooden coffee table, smirked down at Veronica and exited the apartment through the front door.

Now all alone in her new apartment, it sure was a rat-hole, but it was something to start with. She sat resting, looking at Rambo, so happy to see him, and have him with her again. Sipping the coffee some more, thinking again about her mama and brother, and where they possibly could be. Would they be happy she was still alive? She then thought about Ian. What had happened to him? Why was he in solitary lock up just when it was time to leave? How could he have missed it when he was the innocent one. Now she wouldn't know, she wasn't even trying to find out.

Veronica finished her first cup of coffee in months and months, then got up and shuffled weakly to her bedroom. She laid down on the futon, motioning to Rambo to join her. Of course, he did, he loved V, and now she could actually rest. For her days ahead would be a new, different life for her. Eventually, she will find out where her mother and brother are, and she will see Ian again, she has to.

Story of v - Chapter 9

Story of v - chapter 9
T'was early morning and Veronica awoke to the sun in her face and the smell of coffee brewing. Her hand raised, one eye squinting as she tried to block the sun with her palm. It had been way too long since she had either of those things happen. The aroma of the coffee bean, damn, what a real privilege. You really don't appreciate things like sunshine and coffee, that is until it is taken from you.

The emerald haired lamb opened her heavy eyes, now coming to the realization that she was on a futon that was dressed in clean-white linens, and pillows with actual pillowcases. Veronica also realized, she wasn't dressed in the hospital gown she was in any longer and was just in a plain white T-shirt, and white cotton panties. Sitting up, and looking around what was to be a bedroom; she had no idea where she was and was having trouble remembering how she had gotten there.

Turning over and sitting up, she slowly took her ratty hair down from the messy bun atop of her head and rolled her head. Hearing and feeling her neck crack several times. It was stiff as a board and she was just a hot mess on a summer day. Soon she got up from the futon, her knees weak, she was exhausted.

Veronica then cautiously, and quietly opened the door of the bedroom. With one wide eye, she scanned around, as much as she could visualize that is. Finally, she entered the hallway, her nose following that smell that had awoken her. That sweet dark cup of caffeine, she needed and wanted it so badly. More than hard sex.

Making her way into the living room, which was right off of the kitchen. A voice chimed at her, catching her attention over her mission to retrieve her caffeine fix. "Ah, good morning sunshine," said Vince, as he sat on an old beat-up sofa, and he was drinking a big cup of coffee. Veronica approached him and sat down next to him, a sigh escaping her. She had a headache, most likely from dehydration. "You must be Vince." She said, not asking, just stating it aloud. "You'd be right." He replied, taking a sip from his cup. "Um, where are we?" She questioned, licking her dry cracked lips and zooming in on his cup that was calling to her.

Vince was a cutie, no doubt about that; she definitely wouldn't be his type, Veronica wasn't anyone's type. He was in good shape, thin with some muscle, and tall. Dark boyish hair, tattoos, and piercings. She would eat him alive, better to keep those thoughts to herself. Where did Jose know this guy from? she thought to herself.

Minutes later her daydreaming was interrupted with his reply. "We are in your new place. This is your... let us just say, your hideout spot." He explained. "You need to keep a low profile." Veronica's expression turned to excitement and also disbelief. "Really? Holy fvck man. Where in the hell is this place in the world?" She asked, her eyes getting big in all wonder. "Compton, California." He said holding in a laugh and again sipping his coffee. Her eyes turned into sarcastic slits, and she blinked rapidly at him. "Seriously?" She questioned, monotone. "Ha, yeah... trust me, it's the perfect spot for someone like you. Take what you can get girl." He informed, and it was true, he was right, she had no right to be picky about anything. In fact, she was in debt to him, and to Jose. However, she would never forgive herself for leaving Ian behind.

Story of v - Chapter 8

Story of v - chapter 8
In her room, she paced; nervous about what was to come ahead. Veronica never tried to escape from a secure place such as Whittingham. She had been in jail many times, and even for a good period of time. But, this institution was different than those she had previously been locked up in.

It was for the criminally insane, for the darkest of minds possible; closest to hell more than anything. If you weren't mad when entering the Asylum, you would be by the time you left or maybe even have killed yourself.

Veronica had no idea what she would do with herself once she got out of hell. Would she ever go home? Back to that place she hated. Would she ever see her mama, and her brother again? Were they even alive? Had she killed them too by accident? Where were her dogs, and were they alive? All these questions floated in and out of her cranium unanswered. She didn't know, but she wasn't scared to find out. The girl had developed a thick skin and could handle anything thrown at her.

Soon it was dinner time and Veronica hadn't heard Ian return to his room yet. Perhaps he had returned before her and went to sleep. When entering the main room she looked for him. Not seeing him anywhere. Where was he? She thought as she got her disgusting slop of a tray of food and sat down at their normal table.

Veronica looked over at Jose that was posted across the room and he just gave her a look as he didn't know where Ian was. That was odd, they ate dinner every night together. In fact, they practically ate every meal together. Even once got to sneak and have a shower together. That was the only time they got to finally have sex and that's all it was. One gets lonely sitting in a cell for hours upon hours and days upon days.

Veronica was becoming worried, she was now done with her dinner and was about to be sent back to her cell for the night. Ian still hadn't shown, he had missed the last meal of the night. Something was wrong. "Roundup for meds!" Was called; this annoyed Veronica. She hated taking these MINDFVCK medications. They made her loopy and fuzzy and she didn't need that tonight. Not tonight; however, there was no way around it.

Getting her meds and swallowing them down, she walked with the huddle of patients to the doors where they would divide into line groups, the men in white would take them to their rooms for the night. Some would go right to sleep as soon as they entered their rooms. Others would cry or scream for hours before passing out, fighting the medications. Then there were always the few that would give a hard time to the staff, maybe throw a little piss and feces everywhere just so they'd have to clean it. Good ole Brett would smear feces on his walls just for the hell of it and for the punishment they would leave him in there until he cleaned it himself. Sometimes nobody would see him for weeks.

Now in her room, locked down. She looked around, taking a deep inhale and holding it as she backed up to her bed and sat down. Where was Ian? She asked herself and then knocked on the wall. "Ian, you there?" She asked, pushing her cheek and ear to the wall; listening. No response, he wasn't in there. Had he gotten released and didn't say goodbye? Veronica put her back to the wall. Her heart was pounding hard with anxiety. Her breathing started to become fast, she could feel a panic attack coming on. "Fvck!" She mumbled and began a breathing technique.

Soon the medication would kick in anyway and help her. Veronica just had to wait for a little while. But, she couldn't keep the thoughts from coming. Suddenly all these images flashed in her head. Ian, the face of her mother, her father's bloody face and brain oozing from his skull shot open.

Closing her eyes tight and clutching her teeth as they flipped by like a photo-book. Not realizing she was digging her nails deep into her arms, drawing blood. She held her breath, the blood so much blood. She could feel it dripping between her bare thighs. Her gown was now stained with crimson and she opened her hues to see what she had done.

Soon Veronica fell asleep and the hours went by, still no sign of Ian. Three in the morning was approaching and she was sound asleep like a little infant. Her door opened as quietly as it could and it, of course, woke her up. Being defensive when she is startled awake she growled and turned over as fast as a ninja and was up on her feet against the wall on her bed.

"It's just me," Jose whispered. "It's time, let's go. "She immediately got down from her bed and followed close behind him. Whispering softly like a mouse's footsteps. "Wait, we have to get Ian." She said, pulling on his arm. "There's no time, Ian is in lock-down." He replied. "What? Why?" She asked. "There isn't time to explain Veronica come on." He said and pulled her along.

The young beauty followed close behind him, rushing through the silent empty halls. He led her through a few halls she had never seen before and down a couple of stairwells that went down into a basement. "Where are we going?" She whispered as they rushed on. "Shh." Was all he would reply and brought her to a box lift.

"Get in and go... run to the far east end. Go!" He demanded in a frightened tone. He then helped her up into the box lift and pecked her cheek and patted her on the ass; then smacked his fat hand on a red button. The box lift began to rise and she crunched herself back into it the best she could. Finally, it stopped and she could feel the wind instantly hit her pale face and blow through her long tangled green hair. She could smell the rain and the trees and the grass. How she missed it so.

Not wasting any time she bolted in the direction she was told to go. Just in a hospital gown that she wore to bed with blood dried upon it. Panties and bare feet. Her heart was racing as fast as her legs were going, which was like a cheetah to the human eye. She huffed and never even looked back behind her, she didn't want to. She couldn't.

Reaching a clearing in the pitch-black darkness she stopped. Bent over to catch her breath. Feeling nauseous from running so hard and so fast. She began to cough and spit and snot everywhere. And then heard..."Ewww, girl what the fvck?" Followed by a manly chuckle. It was Vince, sitting on the hood of a hidden car behind a bush. Veronica stood up straight and shuffled over to him. Her vision a little blurry. "Who are you?" She asked, getting very light-headed. He shook his head and grinned at her. "Who you think?" He answered in question. Just then without warning, she fainted into his arms. She was exhausted and drugged and just gone.

"Fvckin' Aye." Vince laughed out and got up from the car and drug her to the side and got her into the back seat. He spread her out as much as he could so she wouldn't be cramped in his Cadillac. Before closing the door he caught a good look at her and perked a brow. "Damn girl..."

Story of v - Chapter 7

Story of v - chapter 7
A few hours past, Veronica sat upon her bed picking at the chipped paint flaking on the wall. The door didn't creep open, no way it could with the loud locks. She glanced at it and who entered, why but the orderly Jose. Just the man she needed to talk to. "Veronica, time to go to the line to dine." He said nicely and with a small smile. She returned the gesture with a smirk of her own. Slowly rising from her bed and walking over to him. "Can I talk to you for a second first?" She asked as she stepped up closer to him and gazed into his hues.

Not many knew that Veronica practiced the craft and had little things up her sleeve. It was hard for her to concentrate to use them usually, but, as of this moment, she was at ease enough to try. Especially with Jose.

"Of course..." he replied, becoming lost in her orbs that were changing color from blue to violet right then and there. She knew exactly what she needed to do even though she really didn't want to. She wasn't attracted to Jose at all, the poor guy was stuck in a boring marriage with a ton of kids. But, she would have to do some work to get what she wanted and that was freedom for herself and for the innocent Ian.

Jose closed the door quietly, making sure it didn't bring attention to other Asylum staff. He never broke eye contact with her as she grabbed his jumpsuit top and tugged him to the center of the room. "I need a favor my love, Jose." She said softly and sweetly. Giving off her vibes that would seep inside of him, grab ahold of him, and make him her puppet. "Yes, Mami." he replied, his mouth salivating slightly as he looked down into her eyes. "You can't say no, you won't say no. You will do as I say." She demanded but in a seductive way.

Veronica's powers didn't always work. If they did she could have escaped many times by now. But her mind is usually altered or not able to stay focused long enough. This however she was extremely focused on. All Jose did was nod in agreement. Which made her smile; she slowly got up on her toes and pressed her rubies against his. Sealing the connection; sure enough, causing him to become erect. Her hand crept down and began to play as her lips found his ear and she whispered. "You're going to help me get out of here. You aren't going to question why, and you will be rewarded greatly.

"Jose closed his eyes, groaning at what she was doing and processing what she had just said. "But, I... I can't." He replied, shaking his head no gently with a moan releasing. "Oh, yes you can baby, and you will." She insisted, now unzipping his suit to release him. He sucked air threw his teeth and soon enough it was happening. She was atop of him upon the cold, dirty, floor of her room. One hand over his mouth to keep him hushed as she rode his little prick, and the other on his throat, gripping. She could tell he would like that; Chanting quietly down in his ear of what he was to do until the deed was done.

Soon after; Veronica entered the main room. It felt like all eyes were on her like she was high in Walmart shoplifting. She walked over to her and Ian's table and sat down with him. She hadn't told him what she was going to do to get them out of there. Veronica also kind of figured he would be angry if he found out as well.

However, Veronica had an expression of disgust on her face; she didn't realize she had, which had Ian looking at her oddly. "What?" she asked as he glared at her. "What's wrong with you?" he asked as if he had known her forever. "Nothing is wrong with me, so f*** you, what's wrong with you?" she replied with question. He crossed his arms over his chest and gave her a look. "Fine, whatever Bitch!" He said and kicked her leg under the table. She smiled a little and her expression softened. He always had this way about him that would sweeten her up. Kinda made her wanna puke at times. Why did he have to make her soft?

"Okay, so I have a plan." she said quietly, moving her chair closer to him so they wouldn't have to talk so loud. One guard glanced over at them but didn't say anything. "Jose is going to help us get out of here. It's happening tonight at three in the morning." she whispered over to him just before she was interrupted by Jose. "Sister Withers would like to see you, Veronica." he informed. "Oh f***, eh... aight." she replied and gave Ian a look; then followed Jose out of the main room out of the double doors.

As the doors closed, Jose pulled her to the side down a small empty and dark hallway. "I don't think I can do this, what if they find out I helped you?" he asked, acting nervous and paranoid. "They won't find out, just do as we talked about. Remember there is a reward in it for you." she spokewhile giving him a nod.

After she slept with him, they planned out the whole thing for that night. Jose would do his rounds, checking everything. Unlock certain doors and disable certain alarms for her and Ian. It would be a piece of cake. He had already did these things, all he needed to do now was let them out at the exact time they discussed.

"Alright, but if anything goes wrong it wasn't me that helped you. And Veronica, if I don't ever see you again. Thank you... for making me feel amazing." Jose said with a wide grin. "Uhh, sure Jose. Umm.. you're welcome." She replied with a shrug of her shoulders.

They then walked to Sister Withers's office and Jose opened the door for her and followed in behind her. Veronica wasn't in the mood for shock torture today so she planned on keeping her damn mouth shut. "Hello there Veronica Blackwood. Have a seat?" she asked while pointing to the chair in front of the desk. Veronica took a deep breath and took a seat, eyes fixed on the pile of papers on her desk. "You probably think you are in trouble, but you have a phone call." Sister Withers explained. "Uh, seriously? I get to use the phone? I've been here months and now I get to use it?" She replied surprised. "No, you don't get to use it. You get to talk to whoever has found you. Nobody has called for you Veronica other than the judge and your P.O. Nobody cares for a disgrace like you." She murmured with a smug grin. "Gotcha," Veronica said, not wanting to ruin the chance at using the phone.

Sister Withers then handed her the phone and then sat back down behind her desk. Eyes shot forward upon Veronica watching her like a hawk. "Hello, this is Veronica." she said as she put the phone to her ear.

"Yo, Veronica R. Blackwood. You don't know me. My name is Vince. Don't respond, just listen. I am an acquaintance of Jose and at 0400 I will be waiting at the east end of the property. All will be explained later. That is all."...and the phone went dead. Veronica didn't want the Sister to think something fishy was happening so she just repeated herself. "Hello...?" Then she looked at the phone and shrugged. "Nobodies there." She said and handed her back the phone. "Oh, that sucks for you, my dear. Now, on with you. Can't stand the smell of you." she spat with a snarl. "Well, maybe if you let me take a damn shower more often." Veronica said in a snotty tone.

The Nun looked up at her through her lashes and then motioned with her head for Jose to remove her from her sight. Jose then grabbed her arm as if he didn't like her and Veronica pulled away. "Let go of me!" She then got up and walked out of her office and into the hall with Jose.

On their way back to her room Jose stopped her in the empty hall. "Was it him?" he asked. She nodded and smiled a little. "Good, it's set. See you tonight." He said and escorted her into her room. Patted her ass with a grin and closed the door.

Jose knew what he was doing and about to do was wrong. Totally against his faith, and his oath to his work. But with Veronica overpowering his mind, he just couldn't say no to her. She promised him great rewards for helping her and he believed her. Such a foolish thing for anyone to do. To believe Veronica.

Story of v - Chapter 6

Story of v - chapter 6
Weeks passed; it seemed like now it was almost routine for Veronica to be fighting with the orderlies, the sister on a rampage of hate towards her. Sending her in for ECT far too often than she should. Some days... the weak girl was just like a vegetable lying in her tiny bed, eyes fixed to the ceiling with a look of jelly to them. The poor thing, her brain felt like a bowl of instant mashed potatoes on these particular days.

Ian would call to her through the wall, knowing she was there even if she didn't reply. She had lost some weight, a lot of weight; but not her spunk and attitude. She would never let anyone or anything break that.

Today Veronica had a little more energy than she had over the last few weeks and found herself doing sit-ups in her room. The staff still hadn't provided her with much more than what she entered the institution with. Which was nothing; most nights she would pace in circles in her room for hours, the bottoms of her feet becoming raw. She picked at her nails while thinking of how to get out of that horrible place. Where she would go if could escape and when she did... how would she survive in a world where she had to be invisible. Even though she felt she was like a glasshouse most of the time as it was, but now it would be different.

"One... two... three... four..." She counted as she did crunches, closing her eyes and focusing on breathing as she did so.

After about fifty or so, the emerald haired lamb laid down upon the cold, hard floor of her cell. Relaxing after the round and breathing heavily, quick; her hues popped open as she heard voices in Ian's room. They often would listen to each other's conversations when guests would arrive. Being nosy or perhaps just out of boredom. What else was there to do anyway?

Crawling up onto her bed, Veronica got close to the wall so she could make out what was being said. It was Sister Withers, in Ian's cell with an unknown man talking with Ian. Veronica didn't know who the man was, and from the tone of Ian's voice, she could sense he didn't either. "Look, I don't know how many more times I can keep repeating the same thing to everyone. My story never changes. I'm telling you the truth, I even said I would take a polygraph but you all refuse. What is really going on here?"

Ian asked to both of them in an annoyed tone. He recently confided in Veronica days prior about why he was in the ward. His story she believed. Veronica was pretty good at reading people and being able to tell if they were liars. After all, she was a pathological liar herself.

Ian told Veronica one night as they stayed up all night talking through the wall. That he got himself into a big scandal with some big shots at his work. He didn't go into much detail of that but did describe what happened to cause his admission. He said they threatened his life, said they would kill him and his family if he didn't kill a certain wealthy man in the company. He refused and in return seven masked men broke into his home where he, his wife, and his daughter slept. The men hog-tied him and made him watch as they slit his family's throats and scalped them. Then setting up the scene as if Ian committed murder.

Just by the way he told his story to her, she could feel he was not a murderer. Veronica on the other hand. Truly was, and was guilty of her crimes. Never denying it ever to anyone. Ian and Veronica got pretty close over the days that passed. They sat together during feeding times and talked crap to each other when watching the old black and white television in the main room. Sister Withers even made a few smart type remarks to Veronica about her and Ian. The crazed girl, of course, reacting violently and being punished for it. What the Sister didn't know was, Veronica also became rather close to an orderly. He was the only one in white that was somewhat nice to her. Having someone on the inside... on her side was good.

Hearing the door close in Ian's room, she immediately called to him. "Ian, who was that a**hole?" She asked with her ear pressed to the wall. They didn't want to talk too loud because it was easy to hear just about everything in the rat-hole of a place. "It was a detective V. I don't know why they keep asking me the same things over and over for the same answer. They never do anything, nor tell me anything. I'm left here to f***ing rot." She could hear the frustration and sadness in his voice. The punk could only imagine what it was like to actually be innocent and stuck in there; clueless of the future, or the next hour even. "How come you don't have a lawyer?" she asked. "At least a public defender or something?"

"They haven't given me that option, nor a phone call. It's been months," he replied sounding as if he would cry. Veronica turned her back to the wall. Thinking it was inhumane for how he was being treated. She didn't even give an f*** about how badly she was being taken care of. Now she actually gave an f*** about him. Totally out of the norm for her. Guess she had a friend now.

"Look, Ian," she spoke as she rested the back of her head against the plain, bare, gray wall. "I'm getting the f*** outta here. You comin'?" She questioned, being completely serious. It had just popped into her head. She would bribe the man in white 'Jose' and he would help them escape. Or maybe she would just threaten to cut his pecker off and force him to help them. Either way, it was going to happen. "Uhh, what?" Ian replied, slightly confused. "We will discuss it at lunch, for now, shut the f*** up and hang onto your cock." She said with a dark chuckle following.

Story of v - Chapter 5

Story of v - chapter 5
"Veronica...?" Ian spoke quietly through the wall from his cell. It was late now, hours had passed and everyone was supposed to be asleep. Veronica wiped her mouth on her wrist and then laid back down again; lethargic.

"What do you want Ian?" She asked softly, exhausted. "Are you alright?" He questioned with concern in his voice. She closed her eyes for a moment and swallowed hard before answering. "Yeah, just peachy over here." She replied sarcastically, beginning to run her digits through her hair. "I can make your night better." He said and she raised a brow curiously, stopping her combing fingers. "What's that mean?" She asked. "I can take your mind off of things and make you feel good; that is if you would like." He answered. "Huh? What the fvck are you talking about?" She asked, starting to chuckle. "How long has it been since you've been fvcked?" He asked bluntly. Veronica choked from his question. "Um... kind of random and personal question don't you think?" She asked in return. "I'm going to say it's been a long time then." He replied, cackling to himself. "What makes you say that, even though it's none of your damn business?" She asked shaking her head slightly. "I'm only asking 'cause I think maybe if you get off... you'll calm down." He said trailing off at the end of his statement.

"Oh really?" She says laughing. "So, how do you play a role in that?" She asked amused. "Oh, I can play a very big and important role in that, doll." He replied smirking as he too was laying in his bed on the other side of the wall. "I seriously doubt that Ian." She said, now playing with her hair and he was already taking her mind off of everything just by talking to her. But she didn't acknowledge it. "You say that but... wanna bet?" He asked smirking widely. "Aight Mr. Ian, I'm listening." She said, unknowingly biting her lip where normally her lip ring would be.

"Ha, alright. Just listen to my voice and close your eyes." He said, husking up his voice some. "Okay." She said doing as he asked, and she closed her eyes. "Are your eyes closed?" He questioned. "Yes... on with it for fvck sake." She said smiling. "Now, take in a slow deep breath, hold it in for a moment and then exhale slowly. Then I want you to vision me." He instructed. "What? Vision you?" She asked. "Yes, just do it fvck." He said shaking his head. "Alright." She whispered and did as he said. Ian closed his eyes as well and it wasn't hard for him to vision her immediately. "Veronica." He said softly. "Don't open your eyes, 'cause I'm right here." He said slowly moving his hand beneath his blanket. "The things I want to do to your beautiful body. Those lips, that tongue. Your gorgeous breasts, my lips, and tongue tasting them." He said stopping for a second. Veronica laid still, listening closely to his voice as it turned to velvet. She began to feel the heat all over as she could see just what he was describing.

"Yes..." She said barely audible, and he smiled hearing it. "Veronica touch your perfect body for me?" He asked and she did without hesitating, lightly cupping her breasts before caressing her own stomach with her fingers. "Ian..." She said gently. "Do the same for me?" She asked and he side smirked. He already had his grip around his erection. "Oh, I am baby girl." He said beginning to stroke. Veronica snagged her bottom lip with her teeth and pictured him, working his meat and her heart began to race. Her right hand moved down and she bent her knees, bringing up her legs, spreading her thighs slightly as she reached between them. "Are you wet Veronica? Slick, pink, and swelling. Just waiting for me to fvck you senseless." He asked, stroking his throbbing rod steadily. "Mm, it is so damn wet, Ian." She said seductively as she moved her issued panties to the side and slid her middle finger up and down against her slippery slit.

"Yeah, I know it is. Perfect all the way around you are." He said, his voice cracking as his breath quickened. Veronica began rubbing herself and moaning softly as she could hear him grunting. The sound turned her on and she started her own finger play. "Ian..." She huffed out as she began to get closer to eruption. Ian couldn't even talk anymore, he was too busy jerking his hard-on while listening to Veronica moan, visioning himself pounding her against a wall. He was getting louder and louder, this only pushed Veronica further and further. After a few minutes, she tensed up and moaned out extremely loud as an orgasm rocked her mind and body; --several long months of nothing. After it subsided and she became silent, she couldn't hear him anymore. Breathing heavily and fast, she opened her eyes and blinked. Smirking, not believing she had just done that with him, a stranger basically.

"Ian?" She called and he had already busted his nut and was half asleep. "Yes, Veronica. I told you." He said grinning with his eyes closed. "Sweet dreams beautiful. Breakfast comes early." He said and she just laughed and curled up against the wall. "Night Ian." She purred and closed her eyes for sleep.
