Welcome to my wonderland

“If I had a world of my own, everything would be nonsense. Nothing would be what it is, because everything would be what it isn't. And contrary wise, what is, it wouldn't be. And what it wouldn't be, it would. You see?”― Lewis Carroll

you suck Lilliana.

you suck lilliana.
tw.
In my dreams, I am floating atop the ocean. It's still and quiet and the sun is just rising in the distance. The water is cold and fog dances upon its surface. Stars still shining bright, I don't move a muscle as I stare off into the unknown. I want to know what it is like up there, away from this dreadful place I call home. I want to be one with the moon, the sun, and the sky. I...

“Lilliana... wake up.” whispered a little girl named Samantha. Dark hair and glasses, buck teeth that were sadly noticeable. She shook her shoulders. “Lilli?!” she said quietly, waking the dreaming girl up. “Wha... what's wrong?” Lilli asked, slowly creeping open her eyes to see Samantha right over her face. She blinked and sat up, rubbing her little eyes as she came to.

Looking over at Samantha, she was ready in a white lace dress, black Mary Jane's with white socks and a suitcase in hand. “Let's run away...” the ten-year-old said. “Are you crazy?” replied Lilliana, giving her a raised brow and a shake of her head no. “Yes, I can't stay here anymore, I hate it here and since I can't go home I will find somewhere else to live.” she whispered and Lilliana shook her head faster. “No! Where will you go? I can't go.” she said, lowering her head, looking down at her fingers that were pulling a thread from her blanket. “You suck Lilliana, I knew you would wuss out.” the girl spoke louder and Lilli just stayed quiet, moving close to the wall to rest her back.

Samantha rolled her eyes at Lilli and went to the bedroom window, trying to open it. “It's nailed shut.” Lilli informed, and a huff and puff came from Samantha's mouth. “You... you're not helping remember!” she said, getting frustrated. It wasn't the first time she had run away only to be found and brought back having to face the consequences. Just then, the door of the bedroom flew open; the hall lights blinding Lilliana and making her crumble into her bed, pulling the covers up over herself, up to her chin. The house mother stood in the doorway, realizing what Samantha was up to. The woman walked over to the little girl and slapped her across the face. The sound echoed in the room and Lilliana turned over, her back turned to the both of them. She didn't want to see what was to come.

Samantha began to cry and held her tiny hand to her cheek. “I'm... sorry.” she whimpered, and without warning the woman grabbed her up by the arm and yanked her out of the room; slamming the door. Lilliana stayed still, crying in bed for a long while. Until she heard the screaming stop from Samantha. She was being punished for trying to run away and the abuse was the exact reason she would rather live in the woods than in the home. Lilliana crept down from her bed, opening the suitcase on the floor left behind. Inside, a peanut butter and jelly sandwich and a switchblade. Lilli shook her head and took both of them, eating the sandwich as she found a nice hiding place for the blade. She then climbed back up into bed and reached for her journal under her mattress, the little girl began a new letter to her mother and father.

Help! It has been a horrible day and night here mama, and I miss you so much. Daddy too, I miss him. I feel I have done something wrong. I never stick up for anyone, I always shy away. My friend was being hurt and yet again I do nothing. I listen to everything, I can hear it through the walls. I lay in bed wondering what would have happened if I would have stepped in. Gave an excuse, did... anything. Now I may never see her again. I have had enough of this place. I want you to come take me back, I promise whatever I have done I won't do it again. The pain is just too much for me to bear, Damien... where does he lay? I can not see him any longer in my brain, I need to see his face. I guess it doesn't matter, you will never see this anyway.
