The Dark Veil
Slayers. The Monster under the Monster's bed. No one challenges a Slayer lightly. No creature goes into battle without the knowledge that it is likely their last. Slayers. They are feared from the newest turned vampire to the most vivacious demonic entity... Until Now. A new enemy has arisen. A monarchy so vast that the conquering of whole dimensions equates to the invasion of mere countries by lesser rulers. Now, this enemy has set its sight on this world. Our world. In the past, enemies crossing paths with a Slayer learned quickly these women would be the thorn in their side. Every enemy understood to achieve their goals they needed to get the Slayers out of the way first. The enemy the Slayers and their alliance face today is unlike any they have seen before. The invading Monarchy hardly knows about Slayers. When they are reminded of the Slayer's presence in this world, they do not care. The Queen's sight is on invading with her copious army. She sees no foes in her way. Yes, her foes are attacking, but they have not earned her attention. The bigger picture is her concern and that's victory. She has the power and means to squash every slayer, witch, or angel under her shoe. And she does so with ease. The Queen's enemies, simply put, are not the monster under her bed. They might as well be... powerless civilians. The Monarchy has now crashed inside and slowly begins taking over the world. Without the Slayers being feared, and finding themselves so easily stomped on, is there any hope of stopping a foe that can't be bothered to notice a resistance exists?
