Lily-Rose Holmes had no idea where she originally came from, only that she was adopted by two people who apparently couldn’t get children of their own. The life on the countryside was fine and dandy but as Lily-Rose was getting older she started to long for a life in the big city.
It wasn’t until her eighteenth birthday when Lily-Rose learned that she was different by hearing people’s thoughts in her head, and at first it was driving her crazy before she learned how to control her new power and even block them out.
Especially those who was heard whenever she was out and about; either running errands or out on a morning jog. She had moved to New York and had gotten herself a job at a diner about a block from her home. The idea of becoming rich and move to a penthouse apartment on the upper side was her dream.
Thanks to her gift she was able to succeed and a few years later Lily-Rose finally entered her new home, with a extraordinary view of the island of Manhattan with its skyscrapers giving the city its famous skyline.
She had just been a baby when the horrifying events led to the destruction of the twin towers and sometimes Lily-Rose wished that there was a way to prevent it and other disasters by knowing about it beforehand. It was sadly just wishful thinking even if she was ttelepathic.
As she reached her mid twenties another power emerged and it made her wonder who her parents really were. A thought was that it could have been a forbidden relationship between two supernatural species and she was their offspring. And it resulted in her new ability to change appearances to anyone by wishing it to happen. No matter of species.
