She's gone. Part 1

The year was 2025

It was an unusually chilly and rainy night in California. Bree and her daughter Koda had just finished watching a movie and it had gotten late. Bree told her daughter it was time for bed and the young seven-year-old agreed without argument. Her mother was all she had and vice versa. The two of them were best friends. Unfortunately they didn't really live in the best part of Los Angeles. As they were heading to Koda's room A few men broke through the door. One man aimed a gun at Bree's head. Another man had a flashlight on her making it harder to see her daughter. A third man grabbed the child and put tape over her mouth so she could not scream. The man with the gun shot Bree in her shoulder causing her to fall backwards. When she looked up her daughter was being dragged out the door trying to get free from the man that had a grip on her. "KODA!!!" Bree cried trying to get up  blood running down her shirt and arm but she wasn't fast enough. Adrenaline running through her body as she tried to keep up the man got in a van and sped off leaving Bree on the sidewalk crying.

The picture of her daughter being pulled away from her replayed in her mind over and over and over. Shaking and crying as she waited for her phone to stop ringing she couldn't help but sob harder. "Damn it Jane answer!" As if Jane heard her the phone stopped ringing and a voice came through on the other line. "Did someone die?" Jane didn't sound like she was joking, because of the time it was a valid question anyway. "THEYTOOKKODAITRIEDTOSTOPTHEMBUTTHEYSHOTMEINEEDTOGETHERBACKJANEHELP!"  She was talking so fast it was hard to understand even what she was saying. There was no way to comprehend especially with the tears. "Whoa! Bree, clam down. Take a deep breath. What happened? Slowly this time!"  Jane, Was actually kind of worried now that someone may be did die.  Bree tried her best to calm down but she was unable to. She was however able to talk a bit slower though she was still crying and it was obvious by the tone of her voice she was in physical pain as well. "They took Koda. I tried to stop them but they shot me. I need to get her back Jane. You have to help me please!" Bree took a shaky breath and the tone of Jane's voice changed dramatically.  "WHO. TOOK. HER? I'll be right there wait for me!" Her tone was deep and angry almost with a growl to it. She was already grabbing her keys to drive to Bree's place. She had grabbed Bosley and the Angels to go with her they needed all the back up they could get.

They arrived outside of the apartment and Bree was still standing there crying. She was still bleeding but she didn't care she wanted to find her daughter first. Saint was with them and tried to help her but she refused. "Not until Koda is safe. I'm fine!" It was a lie she was extremely dizzy from the loss of blood, but right now her adrenaline was kicking full gear wanting to find her baby girl. Bosley gave Bree a careful hug trying to comfort her hoping to convince Bree to get help so that they could go get Koda.  Bree was losing too much blood anyway she had to get her shoulder looked at. "We will go find her, please let Saint to take care of your shoulder. You know you can trust us." The older woman spoke calmly and Bree had no choice but to give in. "I will bring her home I promise. No one goes after Koda." Jane  was in Angel mode and there was no stopping her now. There would be no stopping her until Koda was safe in her arms.
