The twins should've known better than to trust Roman's calm attitude toward their loss to a child. He was heated and embarrassed, they had choked on their smack talk and humiliated him and their family. Six-time tag team champions ate a pin from a kid on his show.
Roman had sent Paul on double-duty of delivering both of his cousins to his locker room. And informing Sonya to make the call for an instant re-match. The feeling swelled in his stomach and simmered acid to his tongue when they stepped inside like kicked puppies spouting excuses. His fists were clenched and hungry for retribution, someone had to pay.
"Y'all went from Jey holding up our culture, our heritage, with his head held high to this?!" Roman's steely glared at them in disgust before zeroing on Jey with malicious intent to wedge his knife a little deeper between brothers.
"You understand my position, Jimmy?"
"I'm Jey, uce..." Jey had mumbled, interrupting his tongue lashing like it mattered anymore.
Roman scoffed at his cousin's feeble tone. He stared both of them down and sneered before dismissing them to Adam and Sonya's office just to get them out of his sight.
"With the way things are going, it doesn't matter anyway."
As if to say nobody cares about some loser's name.

She really thought tonight was going to be an easy night, she wanted to get in and out of the office as quick as she could so she could meet up with a few friends and have some drinks and maybe get a little high. Yes, she could do that because she was GM and she could do whatever she wanted.
In her office, Adam Pearce and herself were talking about Carmella being a star at the end of the day. She'd won her match against Liv Morgan that Sonya had put together herself, only for selfish reasons.. okay.. she really did want to see Liv shine after Ruby got the axe and didn't have a job, but really she wanted to see both women rolling around in the ring together. They both stimulated her eyes in ways they hadn't been in a while.
Being interrupted by the Uso's was something that she wasn't expecting.. but she never counted it out. They were part of Roman's team so she was always happy to oblige what they needed as best as she could.
"I know you seen that. I know you seen that. We got cheated. The ref ain't do his job right." one of the Uso brothers said, to be honest, Sonya couldn't tell them apart regardless.
"Relax... just relax..." Sonya said, in a monotone, calming voice as she tried to make the situation seem like it wasn't a big deal. Because it wasn't. She was going to fix it, no problem.
"We all know the referee's decision is final, so.." Adam Pearce started, but everyone knew, including the Usos's that Sonya didn't listen to Adam.
"Well.. I noticed that the referee made a mistake, so we're going to take it under advisement.. we're going to review the footage, and then we'll let you guys know when we make our decision." Sonya said, matter-of-factly.
"Tonight?"
"Tonight, though?" said both of the twins at the same time.
"That's fair," she said, watching both of the stressed-out Tribal Chief's cousins exit her office.

They had enough time to review the footage and it definitely showed that one of the Uso's had their shoulder up when the ref counted to 3, clearly a mistake. But, honestly, Sonya was going to give them a rematch tonight either way. She and Roman were tight in that way. She did whatever Roman wanted and for some reason he wanted her to clear this match and make it happen. She had a feeling he was going to make an appearance and make a statement towards the end of it.
Luckily Adam and Sonya caught Rey and Dominik Mysterio before they left the arena. They already had their suitcases trailing behind them. They were for sure caught off guard when Adam and herself stopped them right in their tracks saying they couldn't leave yet.
"Yeah... the referee obviously made a mistake, and after reviewing it, I think they deserve another opportunity. So we decided that you're going to defend your titles against the Usos again.. tonight." Sonya said, her hands on her hips as she looked at the father and son duo.
"You're kidding.." Rey said, not believing that they had to have another grueling match after just having one and literally heading home.
"No.. not kidding." the brunette's hands swooped into her pockets.
"Okay..." the smaller Mysterio said, Dominik, who was always up for a challenge. They both backpedaled with their suitcases and went back to the locker room to prepare for their match that was going to be the main event of Smackdown.

Like always, Roman was the one to clean up their mess. They were thirty-six years old and still pulling this sh*t. They were lucky he was a giver, after all. He afforded them one more shot to redeem themselves before the night was over.
But they both had let him down, twice in one night. Roman's patience had run thin, enough was enough. When you want something done, you do it yourself. He sprang in the ring like a lion on the prowl and solved their problem. He wrecked the father and son duo singlehandedly, neither could stand by the time The Tribal Chief's wrath was gratified.
Jimmy and Jey's betrayal had cost Dominik and Rey a beating neither would ever forget. Roman had cornered Jey while Jimmy coward away from his responsibility as per usual. Daring either one to do something about it. If Jimmy thought he'd seen the worst in Roman's quest for dominance, he had another thing coming.
