One Last Time (Drabble)

It took nearly two weeks to remove the Negative Speedforce out of Nora West-Allen's system. Within those weeks, she had to clear her mind and keep her goal on the mission to save her father from disappearing. She knows what she'll have to do in order in order to see her father from disappearing in the future. Nora has to disappear; being erased knowing it will be heartache for both her parents including her grandparents. 

The brunette young woman was dressed in her trademark leather uniform of purple, white, and her symbol of her uniform. She just got off of a mission with her father, Cisco, and Killer Frost. Nora walks back to the room of STAR Labs where she would go running laps. She paced back and forth while trying to find the right words to say goodbye to her parents. The brunette young woman had the time of her life of getting to know more about both of her parents; they were perfect in her eyes and hope to be reunited with them later in the future. Nora walks over to the computer and puts her own flash drive into the retro computer. With a few clicks of the keyboard, she got where to click on the camera. She cleared her throat as she breathes in and out. Nora uses her right hand to click on the record button, "Hi Mom and Dad, if you're watching this that means something went wrong. I don't want you guys to be sad. I always wanted to be a hero, to use my extraordinary abilities to help people. That's why I came here: help my family, stop cicada, and help fix the Flash's legacy disappearing in the future. I can do the impossible. I never imagined it would turn out like this; I wouldn't change anything about my time with you. My sweet parents, the most important people to me in the world. I wish I could be there to celebrate every new chapter, witness every success, and no matter where I go in my life you always be by my side. I will never ever truly be alone and I will feel your love and support like a warm hug. I became the best person. I can be thank you for everything making me a hero even if I wasn't perfect. Please remember that I love you both and I always will no matter what the future brings,' Nora spoke with hope and sincerity as she held back the tears in her eyes. The brunette Speedster stopped the record and wiped away her tears knowing she couldn't contain them. She takes saves the file then properly ejects the flash drive from the desktop computer. Nora places the drive into her journal that held the journal entry of her time in 2016, pictures of her parents, both of her grandparents, and the rest of Team Flash. 

"Nora, we need you in the Cortex. It's time to go back to Two-thousand and Forty-nine to corner Thawne." Caitlin spoke through the intercom. 

"Yeah," XS spoke under her breath as she nods her head. She gets up from her seat with her journal in her hand as she runs to the Cortex and placing her journal on the side of the main computer.

Central City 2049

"BARRY YOU HAVE TO TAKE HER BACK!" "I KNOW I'M TRYING TO DO!" "NO! NO!"

"What?" Iris asked being in shock not know of what will happen next.

Barry stood there with his heels sticking to the ground and being prepared to run as he stood between his wife and daughter.

"IF I GO BACK IN THE SPEEDFORCE WILL BE APART OF ME FOREVER!" Nora yelled out her reasoning for not running into the Speedforce. Her ears perked up of hearing her mother disagreeing with her, "MOM YOU CAN'T. Mom. You. Can't. None of you can't. Don't you see? It's going to make me like Thawne; full of anger and hate. I don't want that to be my Legacy. This is all my fault, all of it. My mistake. Sometimes all you can do is live with the consequences." The female Speedster gave her logical explanation speaking the truth including creating the mess she created and repeated her father's words of dealing with the consequences of her actions. The tone of her voice was also breaking slowly as gave her parents teary eyes knowing her time was up. She felt both of her parent's arms wrapped around her. Iris starts to cry knowing what's going to happen and Barry being in shock but staying strong for the two of them.

"I love you," Barry said as he looked straight ahead.

"Thank you for everything," Nora gave her goodbye as she closes her eyes and disappeared into butterfly figures into the dark skyline.

Both Team Flash was in horror, heartbreaking to see Nora the daughter of Barry and Iris vanish into thin air. Iris opens her eyes to see Nora gone from their arms breaking down into tears. Barry looked down to see his only daughter is gone just like his parents. He held his wife tightly in his arms trying to stay strong with tears rimming around his eyes. His protege, his flesh and blood is gone.
