Being born and raised in Hawaii, naturally Autumn gravitated to the beach and ocean water. She was an island girl and would spend most of her days and night at the beach. Autumn grew up fascinated by lifeguards and what they did. They were somewhat her childhood heroes, attractive people who would go into the water and save lives. These heroes soon turned into role models and at the age of fifteen, Autumn took courses in Lifesaving, CPR, and First Aid. She gained the skills and confidence necessary for providing care and instruction.

She has lifeguard ever since. Her favorite shift is when she is patrolling in the dusk and the surfers are around catching the high tide. The beautiful colors of the sky and the way the water sparkles is what keeps her motivated at her job, especially recently. It is the beauty of the beach and her passion for preserving nature which allows her to stand the stupid people getting into trouble for their foolish decisions. Most of the cases have been related to Spring Break and breaking the law from the recent COVID-19 pandemic.
