Open Characters.

Open Roles:

1. Toby Williams: The first time Toby entered the Labyrinth he was but a mere infant wished away by his older half-sister. Though even after Sarah defeated the Goblin King, Jareth still kept close watch over Toby, he knew the babe was special and would one day be of use to him as an heir, and when the babe turned sixteen Jareth would being him back. {Playby of your choice.}

2. Hoggle: This dwarf had started out as the gatekeeper/gardener of the Labyrinth. Jareth didn't really pay much attention to Hoggle, so he decided to give the poor little thing a dull and useless job of spraying faeries that dare come near the Labyrinth, they were nasty little things anyway. Hoggle soon met Sarah and became one of her closest and most loyal friend. After Sarah's departure, Jareth had made the poor dwarf a prince, as promised. The Prince of The Land of Stench! Hoggle is a crotchety and lonely figure, he is repeatedly humiliated by his master Jareth and due to his poor treatment Hoggle is deeply distrustful. Though his coldness disappears once Sarah comes into his life, she made him into a brave and caring friend. {Playby of your choice.}

3. Ludo: A gigantic beast who is rescued by Sarah from a group of cruel goblins. Ludo is a gentle and compassionate creature, he instinctively responds to Sarah's kindness and declares her his friend. He is shown to care for the welfare of his friends. He also has the ability to summon rocks, and of course great physical strength due to his size and build. {Playby of your choice.}

4. Sir Didymus: This heroic knight appears to be a fox-terrier who can be found riding the back of his cowardly sheep-dog mount Ambrosius. Sir Didymus is a very noble knight, and will fight for justice and fair maidens. He also seems to take his vows very seriously, refusing Sarah, Ludo and Hoggle passage over the bridge that lead them out of the Bog. Though eventually he allows them to pass, due to a loop hole Sarah found in his vows. He then becomes a very close friend to Sarah, and claims Ludo as his noble brother. After Sarah left, Jareth had bad Sir Didymus his master at arms, and fencing teacher to Toby. {Playby of your choice.}

5. Robert Williams: He is the father of Sarah and Toby Williams, and he works an office job. He is shown to be sympathetic towards Sarah and her feelings of abandonment. In the wake of Linda's departure, he and Sarah were said to be very close. Though the moment Robert decided to marry Irene, it put a strain on his relationship with Sarah. Robert is passive and easy-going, usually willing to take the route least likely to create problems. {Playby of your choice.}

6. Irene Williams: She is the mother of Toby, wife to Robert and Step-mother to Sarah. Irene and Sarah are seen to have a very tense relationship, and they are constantly at odds. Irene is often frustrated by Sarah's attitude towards her, or rather the fact she can't control Sarah like she controls Robert. Though in reality Irene is very sympathetic towards Sarah, she is merely seen badly because that is the way Sarah sees her, a wicked step-mother. {Playby of your choice.}

7. Linda Williams: She is the mother of Sarah, and the ex-wife of Robert. Linda started out as an actress in theater, and she appeared to have a strong marriage with Robert. However cracks in their marriage started to appear and Linda met an actor named Jeremy, they embarked on an affair. Linda then ended her marriage with Robert, so she can live with Jeremy openly. Linda had a close relationship with Sarah, sharing her love for theater and literature. She maintained a strong relationship with Sarah as the years went by. Linda has a quick temper, being described as woman who can shout and laugh and hug you and slap you all within a minute or two. {Playby of your choice.}

8. Mizumi: She is a powerful sorceress and is bent on making Jareth subject to her will for his rejection of her years before. Years before Sarah came to the Labyrinth, Mizumi met Jareth at a dance and she quickly became infatuated with him, mesmerized by his strength of will. They soon formed a relationship, but Jareth soon grew tried of Mizumi but her love grew stronger. They spent lifetimes together, but when Jareth showed Mizumi the Goblin City she turned up her nose and told him to take her elsewhere. Jareth demanded Mizumi to reveal her expectations of their relationship, but when it becomes clear all she wanted was his royal authority he told her he would only remain with her if she could find his heart, which he hidden in his newly created Labyrinth, Mizumi had failed and lost Jareth. When Toby comes to the Labyrinth, Mizumi becomes his mentor in magic with intentions that he reveals the location to the Pathmaker, the heart of the Labyrinth. Jareth considers Mizumi to be shallow. {Playby of your choice.}

9. Drumlin: She is the ablation of hope. Her power is to absorb moisture from anything, killing living beings or destroying buildings through dry rot. She is greedy and completely loyal to her mother, Mizumi. She also acts on impulsion, unlike her sister. {Playby of your choice.}

10. Moulin: She is the ablation of regret. She is very quite and bookish, she can also create water based attacks or defenses. Moulin was also seen to have an attraction to Moppet, while she could be romantically interested in Moppet, that is very possible. Though as Moulin is the ablation of Mizumi's regret her attraction speaks for Mizumi's regret in making Moppet. {Playby of your choice.}

11. Moppet: She is an ablation formed from Sarah's discarded dreams, who was created by Mizumi at Jareth's bequest. After Sarah defeated Jareth, he slowly began losing his powers and thought the only way they will be restored would be by having Sarah return to him. As he could not have the real Sarah, Moppet was created. Moppet is passive and unemotional. She was kept prisoner in a tower room, and was kept as a guarded secret. Jareth had begged Moppet to love him, but she was unresponsive and appeared unhappy. After many years, Jareth realized he could never make Moppet love him, and abandoned her in the Junk City. She was soon found by a Junk person and was kept as a slave until she was given to Mayor Spittledrum. Moppet is obedient, dutiful, accustom to rudeness, sensitive, kind, gentle and sweet. {Plaby of your choice.}

12. Esker: He is the henchmen of Mizumi, he is unwavering loyal and only shows interest in obeying her orders to the letter. His power is to create ice attacks or defense. Little is known of his past, though it is mentioned in passing that Jareth may have disfigured Esker into his current state during a previous attack. {Playby of your choice.}

13. Professor Glokensteal: He is a goblin tasked with teaching Toby the art of hoarding to prepare him for Kinghood. {Playby of your choice.}

The couple became very famous, but Hana started to resent the lack of credit she received for her hard work and demanded payment.  The couple tried to regain Hana's favor with a note and badly stitched shoes, so Hana raided their safe and took her share. She was then caught by the Goblin Army, and had her wings plucked out as punishment before being banished from the Labyrinth. She then befriends Toby who agreed to help her find her wings. Hana has a fierce temper and is easily agitated. {Playby of your choice.}

His father then sent him to train as a warrior and Skub only survived because he was good at hiding. He is innocent and speaks of himself in third person, he then became a chef.  {Playby of your choice.}

He even offered to kill Toby for her, and becomes Mizumi's loyal servant. He is a very large humanoid and has the height of a normal human male, which made him stand out from other goblins. He is very strong and muscly, and is usually seen wearing his armor. {Playby of your choice.}

17. Mayor Spittledrum: He is the mayor of Goblin City, and Jareth's subordinate. He started out as just another goblin solider, he protested to Jareth's rule, Jareth could not use his will to control the Labyrinth, and in Spittledrum's eyes that showed weakness. Rules of The Underground.

Disclaimer:

The Underground is merely a Labyrinth based roleplaying group. We do not claim to have an affiliations with the Labyrinth franchise nor any studios, actors/actresses, directors, crew assosiared with the franchise. We do not own the storyline, songs, cannon characters, familiar settings etc. All credit goes to Jim Henson, David Bowie and all that participated in creating this wonderful movie! This group was merely created because we absolutely adore the movie and the characters immensely!

1. Drama:

This is a complete and total drama free zone, we do NOT tolerate it whatsoever! The only drama that is acceptable is to be in storylines between characters. Anything out of character will merely lead to dismissal from the group if you are a member. If you have any issues whatsoever, please feel free to come to one of the admins, and we will do our best to resolve it.

2. Writing Style:

This is a multi para to novella RPG. We are looking for writers who enjoy writing multiple paragraphs and writers who are literate. Absolutely NO paragraph roleplays or one liners! Also, grammar is very important, though we do not expect perfection, nobody is perfect. We just expect capitalization and punctuation. And please, NO god-moding, that's not cool.

3. Rating:

The movie is a PG movie, though we will allow darker content into the group if anyone wishes for it. If anyone puts a dark twist into their personal storylines, that's totally fine! Though we ask you to be respectful when it comes to sensitive topics and follow Roleplayer.me's site rules.

4. Activity:

Real life always comes first, no matter what. If there is anything that is keeping you away from participating in the group, please let us know! We would like our members to log in at least two or three times a week, and writing at least one reply a week (if you can.) We all have important things to do in Real Life, that is perfectly understandable! But please, try to be active and don't leave us hanging! Failure to log in at least three weeks without notice will result in your role being re-opened and placed back up for audition (unless we are told otherwise). And please be sure to do activity checks when they're sent out, that's how we know who is active and who isn't!

5. Auditioning:

If you'd like to audition for a role head over to the audition from which will be located in the blog. Make sure you fill it out completely and send it our way in a message! Afterwards please give us time to look it over and discuss it. We'll then let you know what we have decided!

6. OC characters:

We LOVE original characters, especially very well written ones! May they be Fae, Goblins, Mortals, dwarfs or any other mythical creature you can think of! Labyrinth is a place of wonder, and a place that can never be taken for granted, there ought to be many wonderful creatures roaming about under the Goblin King's rule! We would love to hear your take on your OC and how they fit into the wonderful world of Labyrinth!

7. AU {Alternate Universe}:

AU is completely acceptable in this group, AU makes things fun and exciting!

8. Profile:

If you get accepted into the group you have 24 hours to create your profile you'll be using for your character, or let us know if you will be using the profile you are auditioning from. You will also be expected to add everyone once your profile is created! Also keep in mind profiles aren't expected to look fancy or perfect. We focus more on writing, that is really all that matters! And once you have all members added, please don't forget to interact with them!

9. Replies:

The group members should be your first priority when it comes to replies, you can write with whomever you wish, you don't have to just write with the members. Just please make sure you're not ignoring the group members!

10. Mains:

Upon being apart of the group, you have joined with the assumption that the other members are your mains.

11. Love Interests:

As for love interests, your character's love interest does not have to be kept within the group if your character really makes a connection with another who isn't keen on joining, that's okay. If you're looking for a certain love interest or relationship discuss it with one of the admins, we can advertise the character for you! :)

Now, that should just about cover the rules! Thank you so much for taking the time to read them, it is very much appreciated! Please don't forget to sign! We look forward to writing with you all!
