    ᴛʜᴇ ᴠᴀʟɪᴀɴᴛ ᴄʜɪʟᴅ's Interests
GeneralPersonality:

Friendly, curious, and capable. Rose may not have excelled in school, but that doesn't mean she's not intelligent: whatever the situation, she's always ready to puzzle it out by asking questions and observing her surroundings. An open-minded girl, Rose adapts quickly to other cultures, and she's always willing to listen to other people's troubles. With her plucky attitude and willingness to do whatever necessary to help others, it's little wonder the Doctor often refers to Rose as "fantastic.”

Influence on the Doctor:

Do any of us know what it feels like to have such a darkness gripping your soul that no matter how much you want to be free of it, you can’t seem to escape it because it’s you? And then someone comes into your life who holds on to you and spreads bursts of light into your life and they never let go? Until one day, you don’t feel alone? Until one day, you finally have hope?

This is what Rose Tyler was to the Doctor. She saw his darkness and she refused to let go. She decided that she was just going to be there for him. Even if she couldn’t do anything, she was just going to be there, to show him that he doesn’t have to be alone and that the darkness can recede. For a moment, she gave him a glimpse that the darkness wasn’t really him. It did not define who he was as a person.

She loved him even when he wasn’t very loveable; when his soul was still consumed by death, anger and revenge.

Skills:

Rose was a skilled gymnast; she mentioned she had "got the bronze" during her school years. She showed physical strength and talents with martial arts. She proved more intelligent than she seemed. She was very observant, and often noticed things the Doctor failed to see. She also proved a capable leader; rallying fellow captives to escape.

The Bad Wolf:

The "Bad Wolf" is an entity that Rose Tyler became after she absorbed the Time Vortex by staring into the heart of the Doctor's TARDIS. This transformation allowed her to wield immense power, manifesting as the ability to manipulate reality, alter events, and bestow or take life. Rose used this power to save the Ninth Doctor and defeat the Daleks at the Battle of the Game Station by scattering the words "Bad Wolf" through time and space, creating an ontological paradox that led her and the Doctor to that moment.

Despite her god-like abilities, Rose could not sustain the power of the Bad Wolf without risking her life. The Ninth Doctor saved her by absorbing the Time Vortex himself, causing his next regeneration. Rose lost most of her memories of being the Bad Wolf, with attempts to recall them posing a danger to the universe.

The Bad Wolf also played a role in Jack Harkness' immortality and indirectly in events like Miracle Day.

Heroes

It’s never easy. It’s a different kind of living. It comes with all the wonders of the universe. But traveling through time and space also comes with great responsibility. It comes with danger. Heartbreak. Your morality being put to the test. Fighting with all you have, for what you believe in. For what you know is right, even when the odds seem so low, because there’s so much at stake. Fighting to protect humanity, without losing what makes you human.

But you can’t let the adversity alone define you. You gain a sense of purpose. Of belonging to and defending something bigger than yourself. Being brave, even when you’re terrified. Making a stand, when others run away. Being a voice in the dark for those who have no one else to speak on their behalf. Gaining more compassion than you ever thought possible. Being a protector and liaison. Learning to embrace differences, while at the same time enjoying what there is in common. Becoming a part of the solution.

I lead a different life than most. Sometimes, all it takes is one person to show you that an extraordinary life is possible, and to show you what you’re capable of. I never used to truly live. I watched as my life passed by. A spectator of my own timeline, just waiting for something to happen. But I’ve learned and seen so much more than I could’ve ever imagined. And for a while, I did it on my own. I had to build myself back up from a place of heartbreak and failure, and many more failures, to make myself better. To be able to stand on my own two feet and say, “I’ve got this.”

We are the Children of Time. Some of us are Torchwood. Some are doctors. Journalists. Temps. Teachers. Ordinary people, doing extraordinary things. Defenders of the Earth. Some call us companions, others have called us assistants. But we are so much more.

It’s never easy. And sometimes the running never stops, even after you stop running with the Doctor. Your life is forever changed. But it is always, always worth it.

Bio:

Rose Tyler, originally a shop assistant in London, found her ordinary life upended when she met a man called the Doctor. Before their encounter, Rose's existence was marked by a simple routine, devoid of the extraordinary. Her early life was spent in a council estate with her mother, Jackie, and she had a close relationship with her boyfriend, Mickey Smith.

Her adventure began one evening at work when she encountered the Doctor and was subsequently exposed to the existence of aliens and the concept of time travel. This meeting ignited a spark within Rose, leading her to leave her mundane life behind and join the Doctor in his travels through time and space aboard the TARDIS.

Throughout her travels, Rose displayed remarkable resilience and adaptability. She faced numerous challenges, from alien threats to historical crises, with courage and resourcefulness. Her compassion for others, regardless of their species or background, made her an invaluable companion to the Doctor.

Rose's relationship with the Doctor evolved from mere companionship to a deep, albeit complicated, friendship. She was instrumental in many key moments during their adventures, including battling the Daleks and saving entire civilizations from destruction. Her humanity and empathy often provided the Doctor with a grounding perspective.

However, Rose's journey was not without its trials. She was tested time and again, facing personal loss and the realities of a universe filled with danger. Despite these challenges, she grew from a naive young woman into a seasoned traveler of the cosmos, capable of making difficult decisions for the greater good.

Her initial time with the Doctor ended dramatically when she became trapped in a parallel universe, separated from him by an impenetrable barrier. This separation marked a painful end to her travels with the Doctor, relegating her to a life in a world not her own. In this parallel universe, she worked to establish a defense against alien threats, using her knowledge and experiences to protect her new home.

Rose's story took a surprising turn when she managed to breach the walls between worlds to return to her original universe in a desperate effort to find the Doctor during a universe-threatening crisis. This reunion, albeit brief, underscored the depth of their bond. The culmination of her journey arrived when she was presented with the choice to return to the parallel universe, this time with a unique version of the Doctor, one with whom she could share her life. Accepting this, Rose made the poignant decision to start anew with the metacrisis Doctor; who had one heart, one life, and wanted to share it all with her.

The 11th

"No, more." The Time Lord spoke aloud, his once jubilant tone replaced by one much more seldom, one not carried with many levels of false joy or excitement. The dim overhead lighting matched his mood. Slowly pacing around the center console flipping switches, taking a step back to hit one of the many buttons on the Time Machine. Taking two paces forward, one step back, and one more step forward, he repeated the press of the same button. The center console remaining mostly unresponsive despite his efforts. Sighing, his no doubt six hundredth sigh in the last fifteen minutes, shoulders drooping lower, sinking inwards. Back hunching over the glowing console, betraying the youthful outer appearance of his current body, his final body, showing the true age of the ancient Gallifreyan.

"I'm done,"he repeated himself for the hundredth time that day. They had been at it for days, him and his beloved Blue Box, arguing, fighting. As much as one could argue with an entity that couldn't vocally communicate back. Instead, the ancient box responded by not responding, ignoring him, refusing to move. If he was lucky, she would occasionally beep or whine, but currently nothing. The TARDIS was refusing to hear reason, to accept his decision. 'I'm retired.' Let the Universe sort itself out for a change; it was long past time for it. It's not like he'd be around forever anyway unless he conveniently fell into a pool of regeneration energy, which was unlikely, even for him. And if he was being honest, he'd rather not. Let this be it once and for all.

So lost in his stalemate with his old friend, The Doctor paid no attention to the doors swinging open or the lovely false wooden creak of the doors that he loved so much. She did it for his benefit; he knew it. His Old Girl was kind like that even if she was more stubborn than him.

It was only when he heard the yell of his former companion that it broke his concentration.

Eyes going wide, momentarily dumbfounded at the sight of the familiar blonde. "I..." The Doctor stared in shock. Rose Tyler, even after all these years, she could still somehow pull the wool over his eyes and leave him completely taken aback. "I, uh, redecorated?" For the first time in a century, unsure what to say. "You don't like it?" No one ever does.

"You can’t be here, shouldn't be here!" His words finally finding their footing, the Time Lord’s brain finally snapping into place, the sudden appearance of the Alien finally breaking his stun. "Why are you here?" he was talking, oh how he loved the talk, all his incarnations did, but this one, oh this one was an expert at talking, at loving the sound of his own voice. "How are you here?" Reaching into his breast pocket, pulling out his sonic, flipping the metallic tool in the air before gripping hold of it and pointing it at his friend, the soft hum of the tool echoing in the center console room. "Not that it's not nice to see you." Becoming aware of his rudeness. "Though I am cross you never told me that you met my future self." He kept talking, a way to distract Rose, and to buy time, to allow him to try to work out what truly was going on. "Could you have told me how very cool I am in the future, I’m sure I would have loved that," He wouldn't have. At least not the last him, maybe the guy with ears would have. Oh, how he missed being him. He couldn't help but wonder what happened to that leather jacket. Maybe he should ask Rose if she knew.

"Wait..."he still kept talking, never stopped talking. "Have we been over regenerations yet, please, please tell me that we have..."It would make things much easier, but knowing his luck..

It was then that the headache hit, a pounding sharp pain burst into his head, bouncing within his skull. Followed by the dull cloister bell echoing in the shell of his Blue Box. Sonic dropping to the floor, The Doctor gripped the center console as pain exploded. An influx of artron invaded his body, flashes of the past, futures, what could be, what could have been, all of reality poured through his brain, as if once again he was staring into the Untempered Schism. One moment the Universe was on fire, the next a perfect utopia, the next nothing. All of creation was suddenly at risk. Something was very wrong, and the Doctor had a feeling his retirement was going to be put on hold. The TARDIS engines roaring to life acted as confirmation.

But first things first, he had one very important question to ask Rose Tyler, the most important question in the universe. 'Do you remember what happened to my old leather jacket? It was very cool.'

Being a Time-lord wasnt as easy as everyone thought it was.  Yes you got to travel through space and time, and could be said having the time of your life. But there was more to it then that.  Being as old as he was, seeing what he had, he knew that he would never see a true end to his existence. He was eternal in a sense. Though he appeared chipper on the outside, inside there was a battle.  Everything that had happened on his home planet of Gallifrey still lived on in his mind. Even this being his 10th incarnation ( that he could remember anyway.)  The War Doctor was one he would never forget.  What he did that day haunted him, and he vowed never to go that way again if he could help it.

Another thing that weighed heavily on his mind was being alone.  Everyone had that fear, but when you were pretty much immortal and didnt age,  it got a bit depressing. He loved his companions of course, but to him after a while, he knew he would have to say goodbye. And while the others found it heartbreaking, for him, it was soul-shattering. He did care, but to him, he didnt wish to see those he loved get hurt or grow old. Or worse still to see a loved one die while you remain the same.

Shaking his free of those thoughts he continued to work on the TARDIS. He was always doing something that involved his trusty machine. It was his biggest tool and in a way friend that helped him traverse the vastness of space.  Thats when he heard footsteps but he hadnt acknowledged them yet.  Thats when he heard Rose utter a Hi. But there was something odd about it. It seemed a bit weak in a way. Turning his attention to his blond-haired companion he wondered what was wrong.  Her sigh did make it clear something was wrong.

“Rose, are you alright?” It was clear that he was concerned about her well-being.  And if something was wrong he wanted to do what he could to help.

. Some people live more in twenty years
An unexpected Reunion.
Than others do in eighty
It had only been a few days since he’d lost Rose to a parallel world. Two perhaps three, he honestly had no idea. Nor did he have any time to grieve for a companion’s loss. Donna Noble as he soon came to know her name had been abducted straight away from her wedding straight into his TARDIS. Then things had gotten a bit out of hand, with the Racnoss, a somewhat humanoid, spider species along those blasted pilot fish robotic Santas that seemed to appear every Christmas.

When all was said and done, he’d offered Donna a trip of a lifetime, but she’d politely declined, But she had left him with advice.

Don’t travel alone.

He scuffed his sandshoes along the rut under the swing in the playground he’d landed the TARDIS in wondering how many children had been here to wear this down. It still would seem Rose’s loss was the final nail in the coffin. Even though Donna advised him not to travel alone, he just couldn’t. Not ever again. Every companion he’d ever care about left in some form or fashion. Adric, Sarah Jane, even though she’d left to focus on raising her son. And now Rose.

“Hey stranger.” he’d heard from just behind him. He stopped the swing short, and grasped both chains with his hands tightly, at first not believing his ears. It sounded like Rose’s voice just behind him but he couldn’t be sure. Only a day or two ago, he’d lost her to a parallel world.

He slowly turned around in the swing, his eyes widening in disbelief, then a genuinely relieved smile washed over him before he bounced up off the swing and hugged her. He felt elation wash over him and he laughed giddily, only managing to breathe her name. “Rose. You’re real!”

After a moment he reluctantly backed from the hug only pulling her to arms length while gently grasping her upper arms. So, so many questions were swimming through his mind in a jumbled mess.

“How, how did you get through? I sealed those fissures off. You weren’t supposed to be able to come back. Not to say I’m not elated, you're back safe and sound. I AM!” The next moment he knew, he had her enveloped in a hug again, while unable to contain his elation. “But how? How on earth did you do it? How were you able to come back?’
