last November

A tiny pitter patter from a set of knuckles landed against the once closed door, a concerned voice trying it's best to meet a set of deaf ears as it crept open, "Cason.. it's been weeks.. you need sunlight.." Tiny hesitated footsteps peppered the floor, trying their best to not step on any of the ramen cups or energy cans that now decorated the hard wood. A sigh of defeat parted from her lips as her bare foot struck one of the paper cups, forcing her to bend over and dare look at the orange label that encircled it. "and maybe some real food." But still, the room fell silent despite the concerning voice that called out. "Cas.. Gia misses her father.. I miss my.. husband.. i- i miss you.. you need to come back to the real world.. our world.. baby, it's time.."

His back was arched, boney fingers daring to press down on the black and white keys that lined the piano before him. A lit blunt dangled from his dry lips as his blonde mane covered his once vibrant blue hues; black hoodie draped over his skeleton like frame as if it were hiding him from the world around him; a much needed safe space. The blonde didn't bother to pick up his head that hung, blue crystals dazed as he stared at the piano infront of him, completely unphased by the company that took a seat next to him on the wooden bench. It wasn't until her whole being was  pressed up against him; arm nudging into his, that his attention soon pulled to the familiar female. Hues flickering in her direction, a daring look upon his sculpted features. Forewarning her that it wasn't the time, or the place.

"are you working on anything?" she finally hummed, completely naive to her surroundings; small hands fell into her lap as her small fingers played with themselves, unconsciously toying with the ring that hugged her ring finger tightly. Guiding his large hand towards his face, allowing his index and middle finger to cup the blunt accordingly, plucking it from his dry tiers. The movement from his moist tongue gathered in the pit of his mouth, leaving it to be the only sound to meet either of their ears. A small gesture towards a huge question; only to be met with a stubborn head nod.

"you know none of this is your fault.. right? things like this happen all the time.." her faint words were cut off as he immediately shifted his free hand up, signaling for her to stop.. and for a minute there, she did. "we can try again.. we can ask the doctors for a little help.." Tall lanky frame shifted up and onto his feet causing him to manuever around the bench, a sudden urge to rage washing over him as he did so. Necklaces dangled around his neck as he bent over, occupied hand racing to his face as he tucked the blunt back between his lips. Both eager hands grabbed a hold of the edge of his bench, lifting it up and trying his hardest to toss it out towards the center of the room in a fit of rage; forcing the small female to stagger to her feet. scared.

Now aware as the weight was lifted from the two person seat, the blonde lifted up his end; forcing the opposing end off the floor. And within a matter of seconds the bench was sent crashing down against the hard wood; one time after another, a repeated method of madness, until the bench was no more. A shrilled cry filled the room as it slipped from his lips, only to be muffled by the barrier of the blunt; chest heaved as the sudden wave of wears dared to paint his pale cheeks. Cason's body had gone limp in defeat, knees threatening to give out from beneath him if it wasn't for her small frame colliding into his without another thought.
