Her mother, Julia was a beautiful angel, one of heaven's purest soul's, know as a queen to the human's on Earth. Her father was a monstrous demon who found the young angel one day, destroyed her kingdom and kidnapped her. Along with raping the young angel he did many experiments on her trying to find a way to impregnate the angel with his seed. Finally he succeeded, Julia gave birth to two twin baby girls. The oldest, Freya had hair black as night with jade hues. The other, Catalina was a scarlet haired beauty with deep sapphire globes. Once Julia gathered enough strength she escaped, only able to take one of the girls with her. She met up with a human that she had fallen in love with during her time here on Earth. The man's name was Demitri. Julia knew she couldn't outrun Vincent forever, not when he knew of a way to track her due to all the experiments he did on her. So she did something extraordinary. She gave Catalina to Demitri and turned herself in so that Vincent would never be able to find her daughter. Demitri promised to raise Catalina as his own along with his son who was only a few years older than Catalina. He brought the children to a heavily secluded forest and placed a barrier around their property so that no one could get in or out without a special amulet. As the children grew up, Demitri taught them everything her knew, from basic education to combat and survival training. He wanted to prepare them for this big ugly world but never actually explained to them why they chose to live like that to begin with. They held so much respect for him that they never questioned him. They were safe for seventeen years until one stormy night Freya managed to finally track her down. She forced Catalina to drink from her brother and drain his blood to unlock the demon that was just beneath the surface, while Freya ripped out Demitri's heart. She was cutting all ties to what Catalina always believed were her family. Flooded with overwhelming emotion awakened the second part to her transformation, unleashing a great power that was laying dormant inside of her. Freya's plan was to convince Catalina that she had been kidnapped by these humans and that their father has been searching for her for years, but due to the woman's ruthless actions it only frightened the poor girl. She escaped into the night and has been on the run ever since, trying to adapt to this unknown world as she tries to get control of these new found abilities. She was scared and alone.
