 ”It was a mistake though, right? A misjudgement. You weren’t in the right state of mind when it happened Tea.” His voice was desperate, eyes frenzied to find her own but she kept looking down. Her gaze refused to meet his and it caused his stomach to sink. ”Teagan?” he pushed, almost forcing her to answer as he hand grabbed onto hers. She was quick to pull away, suddenly shaking her head. ”No, no… it wasn’t a misjudgement. I cheated on you, Nico.” He knew deep down she was being cruel to be kind. He didn’t want her to think she had to say this to him. ”Perhaps Kade and I are more fit for each other. You… you deserve better. Honestly, just let me go.” Teagan had never been that real with him before. He was lost for words. Nico just sat there, slouching back in the seat as gaze dropped. She stood to place a kiss on his cheek but this time it was cold, it didn’t give him the butterflies he always felt with her, that happiness or joy. It was just full of sadness, regret, pity and guilt. ”Goodbye, Nico.”
