Are you so naive to right and wrong? How could you watch innocence forgone? Does what we've done ever really belong? It wasted me away. I feel so wasted away.

Head Canons

Nubia is one of the first and only female guards that was assigned to Ahkmenrah. This was due to the fact that his father, Merenkahre, liked seeing how the two worked together so well and he also trusted Nubia with his son's life. Specially after watching the two of them grow up together.

Nubia doesn't trust anyone right off the bat, specially when they're around Akhmenrah. Though after getting to know them, she'll trust them a bit more.

She is skilled in hand to hand combat, she has often taken down other guards to prove herself worthy. Specially after they claim that guarding the royal family isn't something a female should be allowed to do.

Nubia still has nightmares from the past and she'll wake up scream at night and rush to make sure that Ahkmenrah is okay. There has been a time when Ahkmenrah has actually awaken before Nubia and when she finally awakes to see that Ahkmenrah isn't there, she freaks out and goes off to search for him. Often leaving a trail of destruction in her wake, which Larry has to clean up before the museum opens.

She has a love for the stars and galaxies. Though her sight is now limited due to being inside the museum. Yet, once they museum introduced the planetarium, she goes off and spends a majority of her time in there.

Upon first meeting Roman Sionis, Nubia had tossed him and Victor Zsasz over her shoulder as they were far too close to Ahkmenrah for comfort.

Roman has often come to the museum to try and hire Nubia to come work for him. She denies him every time. Even going as far as tossing him over her shoulder when ever he tries to ask her to work for him.

When ever there is a holiday that the museum celebrates, Nubia often finds herself questioning Larry about why they would celebrate such a thing. This often leads Larry to asking Ahkmenrah to help him out with it, but Ahkmenrah also questions Larry about it as well as the both of them are still trying to get used to the whole modern day era.

Coming into contact with Kahmunrah, Nubia threatens him in their native tongue, often calling him a snake for what he had done. There has also been a time when she has tried to stab him, but was stopped by Larry and a few of the others that Kahmunrah surrounded himself with. Nubia swears to this day that she'll hurt, and possibly kill Kahmunrah for what he had done to not only Ahkmenrah but also to her.

At one point in her early life, Nubia was stung by a scorpion. Lucky for her the venom was extracted in time thanks to Ahkmenrah seeing what had happened. She is now wary of all poisonous animals.

Ahkmenrah finds it amusing to watch Nubia dismantle animatronics when ever the museum holds a Halloween attraction inside of it.

Larry has often brought movies from his house, or goes and rents movies for the exhibits to watch. Half of these movies are children movies, and some are documentaries. Nubia particularly likes the children movies, more so The Emperor's New Groove, Pirates of the Caribbean, and The Lion King (Though this was after getting over Mufasa's death).

Nubia does enjoy listening to other's sing, and she does find herself singing a few songs mostly Disney songs. Though she only sings within Ahkmenrah's exhibit.

Larry once brought Nubia a stuff animal. Though at the time she didn't know it was a stuff animal and tore it apart leaving nothing but stuffing every where. After realizing it wasn't alive, Nubia demanded Larry to bring her another one, to which he did, as she had felt guilty for tearing up a gift.

Roman has once snuck Nubia out of the museum to his place. Upon arriving at his home, Nubia started to build a fire as Roman tried to get her to stay and when he realized what she was doing he started to throw a fit. She claimed that none of his things were worth value, besides the Egyptian sheets. Regardless to say, Roman keeps more of an eye on Nubia when ever he has her at his place.

More shall come.. And if you're interested in being in one, then merely banter when ever I put a status up or if you have my discord feel free to banter away on there~!

It's all I know.. {Part 1/Drabble}

They say that Anubis is one of the Gods that will guard you in the after life.

Grey colored hues stared out into the distance, watching as the citizens went about their daily lives. Nubia wasn't like the others that seemed to roam about and do as they pleased, or the ones that were slaves to the Pharaoh. No, Nubia was a guard to the pharaoh and his family, mainly to his youngest son, Akhmenrah. A boy that she had been friends with during her childhood, which was short lived once her father had spoken of her being Akhmenrah's guardian once she was old enough. Her father told her that it was the wishes of the current Pharaoh, Merenkahre, since the two of them seemed to be good friends. Nubia had agreed upon it, due to not wanting to upset her father nor the Pharaoh for that matter. So here she was, standing guard while Akhmenrah discussed business with a few of his advisers. Her eyes soon shifted towards the sky, watching as the sun was slowly setting meaning that the end of the day would be in a few hours.

Shifting her gaze towards the door way, she watched as a few of the men argued about a current problem, some almost lashing out at one another. This somewhat amused the female as she rolled her eyes, and shook her head as she looked towards Akhmenrah, whom didn't seem too amused by the whole situation. As she went to look back out at the crowd, she stopped as her name was called "Nubia" The gentle voice filled her ears as she looked towards Akhmenrah once again as she walked into the chamber and over to him. Kneeling in front of him, and resting an arm over her chest she closed her eyes as a soft 'yes' was spoken as she waited for him to speak once more. "Nubia, you have been a long time friend of mine.. Tell me what do you think of this." He gestured over to the table that had a pyramid laid out on it. Standing, she turned her attention towards the badly built pyramid that they had made. Looking at the location that they pyramid was suppose to be built, a brow raised as she stared at it for a moment or so before looking to Akhmenrah, "You wish to hear my honest opinion, my Pharaoh?" she questioned and once he had nodded to her, she looked back to the poorly laid out plans for his grave. "It doesn't suit you.. Nor does this location suit you.. It would be far better..." She paused as she picked up the poor excuse for a pyramid and placed it towards another spot. One where there was water next to, "here.. That way the workers will have a spot to get a fresh drink once they start to work on your grave, my Pharaoh." Nubia knew that Akhmenrah cared for his people, so she used that to find the perfect location for him.

"Oh what do you know girl? You're just here to guard the Pharaoh." One of the advisers spoke as Nubia looked to him with a hateful look in her hues. She didn't speak a single word, knowing she wasn't allowed to unless spoken to. "That is enough, Ammon. I asked for Nubia's opinion and she has given it." Akhemenrah soon looked towards the architect, "I wish to have it where Nubia has put it. Place it there." Akhmenrah stood and made his way out of the chamber. Nubia followed after, keeping to a close distance to Akhmenrah. She didn't speak any words as she kept silent as the two made their way to his chambers. "Akhemnrah... You didn't have to do that.. If they thought it best to be in that other location... Then you should have left it there." Nubia finally spoke after a few minutes of silence had passed. Her voice held a much different tone to it now, now that they were alone. "You're right I didn't have to.. However I wanted to. You see Nubia, the location that they had chosen for me wasn't made by them, but my brother." Before Nubia could ask how he knew that he had held up his hand as he stopped in his foot steps, making her stop as well. "I know this because they had told me. Nubia.." He paused once more as he turned to look at her, "Nubia you have been my friend since childhood and I have no desire to hide this. I believe that Kahmunrah, my brother is planning my demise." Upon hearing this, a brow raised as Nubia stood there staring at him. "Akh.." She started as she glanced around for a moment before looking back to him as she lowered her voice. "I don't think that is wise to say while we are out in the open like this.. Nor do I think you're wrong." She told him as her grey oculars stared at him with a serious gaze in them as she kept her eyes upon him.

After their discussion, and after making sure that Akhmenrah was safe in his chambers for the night, Nubai was dismissed as she exited his room and looked to the other two guards that were now standing outside his room. Looking up to the both of them, she narrowed her eyes, "Keep an eye on him.. No one enters his room.. I shall return later." She told the two before walking down the hall and towards the exit. Taking the few steps down, Nubai made her way towards the small covered area that looked out into the vast Egyptian desert. Feeling the cool breeze, Nubai's gaze drifted towards the night sky, looking at the stars twinkle in the vast blackness. These were the sort of nights that she had liked, quiet and not a soul in sight. Well except for the few guards and slaves that were attending to their duties. A content sigh escaped her lips as her eyes closed and her mind seemed to go blank as the events of the day seemed to vanish into the night air. It wasn't too long until commotion could be heard coming from inside of the palace, quickly making her way inside she made her way down the hallway towards Akhmenrah's chambers. Yet, she paused just a few feet away noticing a crowd outside of his chamber. Eyes narrowing slightly as she pushed through the crowd listening to the murmurs that came from them, and before she could get too close, she heard what had happened. Akhmenrah was murdered, she stopped in her foot steps as she stood there a look of shock crossing her features as she didn't move nor speak.

"Who was keeping guard?!" Kahmunrah's voice filled the air as the crowd seemed to part to allow the older brother through. "Where is Nubai!?!" He shouted once more, as she soon unfroze and made her way over to the other. Taking a knee, she placed a arm over her chest as she bowed her head, "Where were you?! You were suppose to keep an eye upon my brother!" He said in a stern tone as Nubai didn't say anything for a moment as she soon turned her gaze to meet his, "I was out patrolling.. These two.." She gestured over to the guards that laid dead on the floor, "Were suppose to protect him. But I guess they couldn't handle it." She told him as she kept her hues upon Kahmunrah. It wasn't too long until Kahmunrah had ordered for the execution of her and to bury her along side Akhmenrah. Though her execution wasn't like any of the others whom had been buried with the previous Pharaoh. No, Kahmunrah had mummified her, but had her placed with in a statue of Anubis as a punishment for failing to protect Akhmenrah.

☾ Present ☽

Day in and day out the Anubis would guard the Pharaoh's resting place. Making sure no one dared disturb his slumber

Talking could be heard coming down one of the halls of the museum, it seemed as though a tour was taking place as a few students walked into the exhibit looking and reading everything that they could see or touch. Of course, some of them dared to touch the statue's of the two Anubis' that stood in the room, some even warning the others not to touch them due to hearing stories about how they would come to life and drag you to the underworld. Most laughed it off, and others just stopped touching them, which was a wise choice. Though as the teacher ushered them off to the next exhibit and as the sun slowly went down and the security guard did his rounds, Nubai kept her watchful stare upon anyone whom entered the room, even if the tablet hadn't been activated just yet, she still managed to keep an eye upon everything as she was sure the other one did the same. Yet, as the sun finally fell and the tablet had been activated, Anubis, well one of the Anubis statue's seemed to take another form. Blackish brown hair flowed freely down her back as grey hues opened as she shook her body from the stiffness that had come from being frozen in place for so long. Nubai, glanced towards the other statue for a moment before looking over to where Akhmenrah once was. She knew that he was out speaking with the others and she remained here to make sure no one came into the exhibit while Akhmenrah had his fun. Of course, she could have left the room and gone to explore herself, but she was just accustomed to being in this place. Specially since she had finally came back from the Smithsonian, all she wanted to do was stay within these walls just for a few more hours. Yes, Akhmenrah did urge her to go out and make friends with the others, but she had always refused to do so, specially since she didn't trust the other exhibits just yet. Well she did trust Theodore, Sacagawea and Larry, the night guard. She was still getting used to the others and how they all acted. Taking a seat upon the other statue's pedestal, she leaned back on the palm of her hands as she looked up at him, "Don't give me that look, Anu.. I'm not going out there." She spoke to him as she kept her eyes upon him for a moment or so before looking over towards the exit. "Besides.. What fun could I possibly have out there? I haven't had any sort of interaction with.... people in 4,000 years." Speaking once again, she moved to stand as she took a single step towards the exit of the exhibit but stopped as she peered out it, watching as the T-Rex ran past the exhibit before watching a few other exhibits walk by paying no mind to her what so ever. "Hm.." was all that escaped her lips as she leaned against the door frame watching everything play out in front of her.
