Righteous Lad
Comic-verse #1

[ Some time later… ]

After spending some time aimlessly walking around, Konnence finally carries the soles of his greenish-cyan boots along the pavement of the fairly bustling district of New York City's famous Times Square - the biggest tourist attraction this side of the USA - and proceeds to make his way over to a nearby bench to turn and flop down onto. Beside himself, he places his bag holding the only possessions he was able to keep hold of, which is mostly clothing.

"H'aaaah man… last time it was the Justice League movie and now I'm in the Marvel Comic Universe?" He murmurs the question to no one but himself before leaning back in his seat and hooking his arms over the back support of the metal bench. With his head tilting back, his neon jade eyes gaze pitifully up at the big blue sky above.

"Not that it's not a cool thing to happen, but I really wanted to take care of some things. My dad's probably going to think I'm running away, too. Maybe… Would he realize that I got caught up in samaritan stuff?" Konnence ponders further upon his situation, oblivious to how many passing eyes he's drawing to himself with his dark charcoal and vibrant green 'hero suit' standing out like a sore thumb in public.

Soon enough within his thinking, he blinks as a realization dawns upon him. His eyes widen as his posture shoots forward into a hunching position where his hands find his knees.

“Wait a minute… I'm in the Marvel Comic Universe.” He repeats to himself with newfound optimism.

“I'm in the Freakin’ Marvel Comic Universe!” He shouts those repeating words as he jumps up out of his seat while simultaneously snatching up his bag. He begins walking forward with hustling steps while musing to himself. So dismissive of a world he thinks is sheer fiction as he muses to himself like a madman who just had an epiphany, that he continues to fail to notice the occasional looks he's getting.

“I can do ANYTHING here. I can ask for Doctor Strange's help, go to the S.H.I.E.L.D. helicraft, hang out with the X-Men, lend a hand to Spider-Man, shake Captain America's hand…” He begins listing off the possibilities available to him, and with each passing idea, his priority keeps wandering further from simply finding a means to get back to his own world.

“Dude, I could even fight THANOS!!!” He exclaims with a child-like big,  toothy smile on his face as he clenches his free hand into a tight fist at the thought of getting into a slug fest with the wicked Titan.

THIS IS GONNA BE SO SICK!

THMP.

G'UUH!?”

“Woah there, little fellow.” Without warning, he collides into a smaller figure who's running without paying mind to what's ahead of them.

“Apologies, stranger. I was just–... Just…” And there the two get a good look at one another, resulting in the kid trailing off with his thoughts. Konnence's expression is just as dumbfounded as the boy's upon really taking in the peculiar details of the kid's attire. Green eyes meet another pair of green eyes.

“You're… Loki. Right?... When did you… No. Sorry, that's just a costume, right? Are you lost?” The taller of the two asks as he tries to make sense of things.

“No, you were spot on before, my strange friend. And… I too feel as though I know you somehow.” Loki answers, now squinting his eyes as he studies the taller male's presence. Soon, that squint becomes a soft frown of confusion.

“...Hela?” He utters within a near whisper. The answer is obviously incorrect, but it's still enough to send a chill down Konnence's spine.

“N-no. No! I'm her–... I mean…I know of her.” Konnence quickly corrects himself in the midst of answering, averting his eyes as he does. Technically he wasn't lying. His biological mother's name is Hel, but being a reader of comics, he's aware that Hela is an iteration of her. Even so, he wonders how Loki was able to make that connection so easily.

“Ah… I see. How downright peculiar.” Loki muses out loud, crossing his arms as he tilts his head to a side.

“I'm certain that I know you somehow, yet such memories elude me. There's just something about the air around you.” The God-turned-child adds.

THERE you are.” A female’s voice cuts into their conversation and draws their attention. The two turn their heads to see–

“Ah, Ms. America. I thought I might have given you the slip… A shame I didn't.” Loki comments with a mild look of annoyance on his face.

“Yeah, a real damn shame, chico.” She concurs with a glare while cracking her knuckles as if preparing to lay down a long overdue beating. In reaction, the child of a God moves to take partial cover behind Konnence. Something the angry powerhouse of a young woman takes notice of and shifts her eyes toward the taller male.

“Huh… Don't know who you are, but I have a hunch it ain't just a total coincidence that you two look like you could be siblings and that the gremlin's choosing to hide behind ya. You stepping aside or sharing a beating with that little twerp?” She asks while arching a brow.

“Woah, woah, woah… Easy, easy. I don't fight females… Maybe we can just talk this out instead?” Konnence offers as he extends an arm to block off access to Loki.

“A violent maiden this one is… Thinks with her temper, not her head. I'd reconsider your stance on hitting women if I were you. That may be a visage of a lady, but she hits like a meteor.” Loki advises calmly.

“Ehh. Sorry, but it's a code I can't break for any reason.” Konnence informs with an awkward smile.

“...Are you mad? Absolutely foolish. You're either an imbecile of the highest degree or the embodiment of chivalry itself, and neither will do you any good in this lifetime.” Loki remarks with a disapproving shake of his head.

“Fine by me. Makes this all the more easier.” Miss America comments as she bawls her hands into fists and prepares to lunge in with a swing. However, the roaring sound of a massive explosion going off disrupts the whole moment and even the civilians going about their day.

B O O O O O O M ! The ground shakes for a moment as the top of the dome-shape explosion in the far, far distance can be seen over the tall buildings.

“What the hell just happened…?” America questions while looking toward the bright yellow light.

“I don't know, but it doesn't sound good…” Konnence comments.

“Mortals supplying the methods to their own demise again, I reckon.” Loki theorizes.
