Righteous Ladβ„’ vs Felix Faust (1/2)

Righteous Lad
Vs Felix Faust
The gritty adventure back in Gotham City came and went, and now Konnence finds himself walking the streets of New York again. Though, this time he's venturing out and about in his 'old-fashion' style of hero wear, which amounts to the simple appearance of casually sporty civilian clothing; a black t-shirt, green sweat-wristbands, dark charcoal jeans, and a pair of emerald converse sneakers.  It's an attire far less impressive than his custom hero suit and leather jacket, but it's sufficient enough to go patrolling in. In fact, there's already trouble unfolding within earshot of his inhuman hearing.

An alarm blaring nearby draws Konnence's attention and the young man doesn't hesitate to hustle toward the direction - running under a dark cold night. He suddenly takes a great leap forward to quickly cover more ground, given his ability of flight isn't available within the absence of the sun. His bound carries him two miles before he eventually lands with bending knees on the sidewalk across from a museum building, where the noise is coming from. Not wanting to possibly damage private property more than it likely has, Righteous Lad jumps onto the roof to locate an alternative entree point.

Inside, a figure stands before a broken display pedestal and a shattered ancient vase, holding within his hands a just-as-old tome that he unrolls like a scroll to read. The levitating torch beside him provides all the light he could need to see what's written on the worn paper.

"Hmmmm…." The figure hums contemplatively as a grin takes shape upon his bearded lips. Just as he's about to conclude his business and be on his way, Righteous Lad arrives on the scene.

"Hey, what do you think you're doing here?" The hero questions as he stands within a nearby doorway, jade-green eyes gleaming within the blanket of shadows covering him. He managed to find a window that's been left open as a subtle means to get inside.

"Who goes there!?" The masculine voice questions when snapping his focus toward the other individual nearby. His hands going on to reroll the tome once more.

"...Felix Faust?" Konnence questions once he's given a clear view of the culprit's face.

"A name you won't be SHARING WITH ANYONE!!!" The occultist exclaims, promptly raising a hand that brings forth a magical sigil that discharges a violent burst of purple  lightning bolts. A set far too fast for the hero in his current state to react to instantly.

"GUUUUAAAAGH!?" Konnence yelps out in startling pain as he's struck at several points of his body, receiving an electrical shock before the aftermath sends him soaring with a push and tumbling upon a marble floor.

"Aaaaugh…" He groans, grimacing as purple remnants of sparks buzz around his person and smoke flows from him.  More so keen on leaving than committing to a kill, Faust turns his back to the hero and begins walking away - intent on moving toward a clear area with plenty of space to conjure a portal. Just as the sorcerer places the scroll into the bag he's carrying on his person and moving his hands, there's an interruption.

"He shoots!" Rushing in within a sprint, Konnence throws the lower half of his body forward and baseball slides to trip the villain right off of his feet, leading to Faust collapsing on his back with a 'THUD' as Konnence goes on gliding a few feet away.

"He scores!" The young man grins smugly, turning toward the other and into a pseudo push-up position.

"You insolent pest!" ZAP!! Faust shouts, swiftly sitting up to manifest a fireball spell at the young man. The latter simply rolls to his left and out of the projectile's way, letting it impact against a giant rusty bell in the distance.

"I know a little elemental magic myself!" Righteous Lad proclaims from a kneeling position. He slams his hands flat against the floor and immediately the surface begins freezing over. A path of ice takes shape and trails toward Felix Faust to freeze both the sorcerer's hands & feet to the ground. However, Faust just barely manages to avoid it by creating a large sigil underneath himself that acts as a flying platform that takes him high up. From there, the villain reclaims the offensive end and begins raining down lightning bolts. Not quite reacting, but preemptively moving to avoid the previous outcome, the hero manages to run fast enough around the room to keep from receiving another direct hit.

"Hold still, why don't you!?" Faust exclaims as his magic chips away at metal, wood, flooring, and even clay, but has yet to hit the swift young man.

"Sorry, but–" Konnence begins, pausing for a moment as he puts forth as much speed as he can within his limiting environment and runs a blocky pillar until he's nearly at its very top while bolts of lightning follow him up, then bends his knees, promptly lunging himself toward Felix. His left palm extends outward while his right fist draws back in preparation.

"The last Time Really Hurt!" D H O O O O M! ! !

He takes a swing with a little under half of his capable effort but ALL of his amplifying momentum, delivering a powerful blow to the magical shielding Faust summons with both of his hands. With ease, Konnence shatters that barrier and sends the villain recoiling atop of that platform.

"GUAGH! Enough of this silly game…" Faust utters with contempt after recovering in time to avoid smacking into a nearby wall. He reaches into that bag at his hips and pulls out something. Two small clay figures that resemble ninjas.

"These two ought to be enough to take care of you." He declares, tossing and allowing them to fall to the ground. Within a blink, those small figures suddenly grow to human size. The impact of their landing is so heavy, that they crater creators underneath them and send a quake throughout the building that nearly trips Righteous Lad off of his feet.

"Jeeze! What are these guys made of!?" The hero questions. Not only did they grow, but they're moving like actual people. From their kneeling position, the two animated statues rise to stand at their full height. Both being about 6 feet tall.

"The world." Faust comments with a sinister grin.

"Huh?" Konnence raises a brow.

"Those two bear qualities of the earth itself. Strength and endurance both. I'd love to stay and see how you fare against them, but I am a busy man." The villain elaborates.

"If you think I'm just going to let you–" The hero's thought is cut short by the two statues suddenly rushing him down, snagging his focus entirely. As one comes in throwing a punch, Konnence raises his right forearm to block it. He does indeed block, but–

Krooom. Krooom. Krooom!

The impact is strong enough to send him flying like a cannonball through the museum's walls until his back is involuntarily smashing into a cop car outside.  The officers around jump at his sudden arrival and draw their guns with haste.

"H-hey, what's going on!? One of the law enforcers questions. As the young man lays on the caved-in hood of a patrol car, he brings his arm up to his face to examine it, noting how it's still trembling and stinging from taking that hit head on. He blinks in disbelief.

"I… I'm not sure." He utters softly. However, there's little time for talking. The ground trembles as approaching footsteps make themselves heard. The duo of destructive statues were running out of the building and zeroing in on the hero to continue their assault.
