ᴋɪᴅɴᴀᴘᴘɪɴɢ & ᴀʙᴀɴᴅᴏɴᴍᴇɴᴛ

Kidnapping & AbandonmentFor three long years, Eloise GOthel had been separated from her beloved firstborn daughter, Princess Rapunzel of Corona. Ever since being banished from the Kingdom Gothel had longed for her child. Vowed that one day soon she'd return and take her. And tonight would finally be the night she followed through with her threats. Along with Rapunzel Gothel planned to bring her second daughter Cassandra along. However, the main task at hand was to get as far away from the kingdom with Rapunzel and to never again be found. Rapunzel would be all hers." Mother will be right back dear, I promise. I love you."
Leaving Pixie Hollow was something Gothel had longed for these last three years. She had come to resent her mother, she had come to resent her fellow fae and the final straw was when her mother stripped her of most of her power. Gothel was done having things taken from her. Tonight would be her night to take.

After stealing the magic she would need from her mother's magical vault Gothel prepared to leave for the human kingdom of Corona. Without all her magic she would need to rely on some of the human weapons she now could so skillfully wield.

Standing nearby was Gothel's three year old daughter Cassandra. She waited patiently for her mother before the two of them left. By the time they reached the kingdom of Corona, it was hours later and Cassandra was putting up a bit of a fuss as it was late and she hadn't eaten and was exhausted.

"Mommy I'm tired! I want to go home!" She whined softly though cried out as Gothel grabbed her arm somewhat roughly. "I told you to be quiet! If we get caught they'll kill me. Is that what you want? Your mother dead? All because you're tired?"

Sniffling back her tears Cassandra shook her head. "No Mommy. I'll be good." She whispered softly. "Good girl." Gothel said and continued on. Reaching the kingdom Gothel brought her daughter to the castle gates. "You wait and hide here for mommy. Don't talk, don't make a sound. Do you understand?"

Cassandra nodded and moved into the shadows where no one would notice her. Gothel then went about sneaking her way into the castle for she knew her way around, even knew where the guards would be. So it wasn't hard to make it to the King and Queen's bedroom.

Standing in the doorway Gothel watched them for a moment. Slipping inside she moved closer and pulled out a handful of dust before blowing it over the sleeping couple. With them now out cold Gothel moved closer to the King. Oh how she hated him. Her eyes briefly went to the Queen though her main focus was on the King.

Moving over him she now straddled him with one leg on either side of him. From her hip, she pulled a dagger and raised it above her head. Glaring down at the King she was just about to plunge the blade into his heart when she heard a soft voice.

"Mama? Papa?" Turning Gothel gasped seeing Rapunzel. Her beautiful golden hair illuminated by the lit hallway behind her. "Flower.." she whispered softly and moved off the King tucking the blade back at her side.

"Hello." The sweet unsuspecting Princess said. Gothel only knelt down and smiled. "You are so beautiful flower.." again pulling some dust from her pocket she blew it into Rapunzel's face. Quickly Rapunzel fell unconscious. Gothel caught her before she hit the floor.

Gothel sat there a moment holding her favorite child, admiring her. However, that was when she felt the heavy hands on her shoulders. The King was awake! "Let her go!" He growled pulling Gothel up causing her to drop Rapunzel.

The two struggled for a few moments before Gothel was able to get her blade back out, stabbing the King in the leg. With him down that was her chance. She scooped Rapunzel up and ran for it. She could hear the King's loud voice shouting behind her, calling for his guards.

Gothel ran through the castle carrying Rapunzel in her arms. Soon enough she could hear the steps of the guards running after her. She needed to get away now! Rushing out of the castle and to the gates. She glanced around calling out for her second daughter.

"Cassandra!" Quickly Cassandra who had been waiting quietly just as she was told ran to her mother. "Come on." She said taking Cassandra by the hand, dragging her along as they ran for the nearby forest.

Cassandra couldn't quite keep up, she was slowing Gothel down and at this rate, the guards were about to catch up to them. Suddenly Gothel knew what she had to do. She needed to make a choice. Drop Rapunzel, scoop of Cassandra, and flee. Or.. abandon Cassandra and keep on running with Rapunzel.

Her mind didn't even wait a second to consider it. She let go of Cassandra's hand. Cassandra tripped scrapping her hands and knees. She cried out for her mother. "Mommy! ... Please don't leave me!" It seemed that now Cassandra understood what was being done to her, even at such a young age. But Gothel did not stop. She did not turn back. Just like that she and Rapunzel were gone in the night.

Eventually, the guards gave up their search for Gothel. Cassandra was found though no one thought that she was Gothel's child. She was just assumed a lost child, eventually placed in the kingdom's orphanage.

" Mommy! ... Please don't leave me!"Gothel managed to escape the kingdom of Corona. She didn't go too far though since she was on foot and carrying her daughter. She finally arrived at the tower she had found. It was all ready to move into. She entered it and brought her daughter upstairs to her new bedroom. Using one last bit of magic she had stolen from pixie hollow she removed and adjusted Rapunzel's memories. She'd have no memory at all of anything. Not her mother or her father. When she woke Gothel would be there to comfort her. Explain to her that she was her mother. That bad people had come to take her, hurt her, and use her magic for themselves. And that she had saved her. And that now they could forever be safe up in this tower.
