Steve looked over at Bianca and nods his head. He then sighed when she mentioned her mom.
"I have not heard from her or from her Doctor lately, Sweetheart. She knows you had our grandson but I have not heard from her. If you want, I will go and stop by the rehab facility to speak with her." He said though he is dreading doing so.
They had a bad split and after she kept Bianca from him, he does not know if he could ever forgive her.
Steve had let his daughter in and nods is head towards Bianca. " I am glad you are home, Sweetheart. Just take it easy and we can go back to the hospital in the morning." He tells her and then goes and checks in with Danny and work.
He then walks back into the kitchen and sees Bianca has gotten herself a soda. "Are you hungry, Sweetheart? I could nake us all some good old Hawaiian Pizza or we could go out and eat dinner?"
Steve smiled some back at his daughter as he helped her get in and he covers her up with the sheet and blanket that is on the hospital bed.
He looks over and smiles more when he sees Alex and his youngest daughter, Stephanie. He then looks back at Bianca. "You got it, Sweetheart and thank you. I have a feeling we may have to do a DNA test. You do not worry about it. Everything will be alright. I promise." He tells her and leans down and gives his daughter a fatherly kiss on the forehead. "Just get some rest alright? We will bring a fresh set of clothes and your lap top for you when we return tomorrow. I love you, Sweetheart." He tells her and then walks out of his daughter's room and leans up against the wall outside waiting for Alex.
Steve nods his head. "I love you too, Sweetheart and I totally understand." He said as he gently pushed her in the wheel chair out of the NICU room and pushed her wheel chair and her back into her room. He put the brakes on when he moved it close to her bed so he can help his daughter back in when she was ready to.
"Alright. I understand and I will see her tomorow in the psych and rehab wing." He tells his daughter and then looks down. "As long as you are truly going to be alright then I will take Alex home and get some rest but then I will come back first thing in the morning, Sweetheart. I am only a phone call away too." He tells her as he helps her back into her wheel chair. "Again, I wish to God, I had known about you when you were little, Sweetheart. I would not have ever abandoned you or even...even your mom at the time if I had known.I will not abandon you..you now. I am here and you will pull through this too." He tells her and gives her a fatherly kiss on top of her head. "Ready to go back to your room?" He asks as NICU nurse came in to check on Alexander.
Steve nods his head, hating this, but knows she is right, she is her mother and she is the mother of Alexander. "Alright, I will see what I can do and how she is progressing and then make the decision for her to see you and...and her grandson. I will only ask for her to be completely sober and in a right state of mind but I will go and visit her tomorrow, Sweetheart, if you want me too."
"I know you have, Sweetheart. I have seen the changes in you and I am proud of you and thankful that you and Mikayla are now getting along. I am only like an Uncle to her because her Dad is my best friend , a brother to me and works with me, he is my partner at 5-O but you are my daughter and I love you." He tells he and then tenses up as he hears her ask about her mother. "Yeah, she is still there supposed getting herself healed and on the road to recovery. She is locked up there until she is better." He tells her and looks down and tries not to get angry again at her Mom.
"Are you wanting her to see Alexander?" He asks her curiously.
Steve gently hugged his daughter and nods his head. "He will have it. I promise, Sweetheart and..." He looks at his daughter. "That was not all your fault. You did not have a good role model growing up with your Mom and I...I was...not there even though I would have been but your life is just beginning, Sweetheart. You can finish school and do what you want in life still. I will help anyway I can to see your dreams can still come true."
Steve looks at his daughter and grandson. "He will not get close to either of you as long as I live and no matter what. I promise, Sweetheart." He tells her and walks over and puts a fatherly arm around his daughter's shoulder and gives her a gently side hug. "He is adorable and looks very much like his Mom." He tells his daughter with a slight smile.
Steve smiled and nods his head. "Alright, if you want me to stay then I will, Sweetheart." He tells her as he leans up against the wall, his shoulder touching the wall. He smiles more hearing his daughter speak to his grandson.
"I will be here. I am the arresting Officer, Sweetheart, and I want to know just like you do. I hope he gets life. I will call you afterwards once I find out." He tells her and takes in a deep breath hoping the SOB suffers in Prison for what he did to his daughter.
