Lili has struggled with her mental health since she was a teenager, being diagnosed with depression and severe social anxiety at the age of 12. She started having panic attacks at school and could barely make it through a few classes without needing to go home. Her parents didn’t understand for a while, why Lili hated school so much, because she wasn’t being bullied, so they weren’t understanding it for a while. Lili would fake sick to her mom before school, but then end up throwing up at school during a panic attack and actually need to go home. Lili around this time also started self harming, she kept a small razor blade hidden and would use it when everything got too much. On the inside of her arms, though thankfully she doesn’t have many scars from it. She still feels the need to use the razor blade, so she has to always keep her hands busy as a coping mechanism. That’s why she loves puzzles and painting so much, and writing. She has been suicidal many times in her life, as recently as last November, actually. Lili loves her job as an actress, but her mental health would and will again, take hold of her and it is so hard to get herself out of the darkness.
Lili moved to LA alone at 18, she shared an apartment with a family and spent all her time either holed up in her room watching Netflix, depressed or throwing up in the bathroom every night because she was terrified she’d never make it. Lili FaceTimed her mom and told her, her mental health wasn’t okay and her mom told her to come home, so she did. Lili moved back with her parents and little sister, Tess (her older sister Chloe was already studying to be a nurse back in Ohio, where they grew up) so she could save up money and try one more time at living in LA. Lili didn’t have a backup plan.
Before Lili booked riverdale at 20 she had been sharing an apartment in LA with five other people, living off 7/11 hotdogs and curly fries she stole from her roommates. Whilst she continued to audition and see all her money she’d saved dwindle away. Lili got a phone call from her agent while grabbing curly fries out of the oven to tell her she landed the role of Betty Cooper. This was after Lili had auditioned for the role of Betty twice before. Lili ate her curly fries, cried and went to sleep. Lili knew in that moment that everything was going to be okay, and she was right.
Lili curled up in the chair she was currently sitting in, in purple shorts and a white tank top, continuing to paint a picture, that didn’t really look like much yet. Lili set her paint brush down in the cup beside her to pick up her oatly oatmilk latte to take a drink of it, though she wasn’t sure why she had gotten it. She only started drinking coffee the summer before last whilst filming a movie in Texas, but she quickly realized that coffee made her feel worse than normal because it made her anxiety way worse. Lili only drank coffee when she was working or needing to be more awake for something. Lili has struggled with chronic fatigue for as long as she could remember, and she still doesn’t have an answer as to why.
Lili was waiting for a friend of hers to show up, they hadn’t hung out much and she was excited to hopefully make a new friend. She had time off from filming and felt like spending sometime with them.
Lili had set out some snacks on the dining room table, chilled bottled water, Coca Cola and Mountain Dew. Lili didn’t know what they liked, so she hoped that they would like something. Lili had homemade salsa, tortilla chips, cheese, salami, crackers. It was all gluten free since Lili had recently been diagnosed with severe gluten intolerance and was learning a new way of eating. She knew it wasn’t much, but maybe they’d get food or something.
Lili had woken up with anxiety that morning, from not working, even though she knew she deserved a break. Lili wasn’t very good at taking them. Even though she knew her mental health needed them. Lili was still struggling with what to fill her time off with. She texted her mom right away, like she always did when she had anxiety. Lili decided to take her mom’s advice and start painting again, as a way to help her keep herself busy.

ashe is a judge on drag race. a show created by rupaul charles where drag queens submit to compete in different challenges which may include endurance, creating garments, teamwork, fast painting, friendship etc. each episode of drag race has a special guest judge, someone who is active in hollywood and in support of the lgbt community.
june is pride month which the gays take very seriously. a gaint party is thrown to end all parties. most of the drag queens in the scene are old or past their party animal days. despite this all, the girlies get together and throw the most epic party the gay scene has ever seen. there was a freaking zebra in the swimming pool.
