the biography
Born in Scotland, John MacTavish spent his youth as most young lads would, playing football and getting into a few scraps while sneaking a few beers and cigarettes.
During his early teens, MacTavish visted his cousin who was a member of the Air Force and felt it was where he belonged. When he turned 16 heβd attempted to join the selection process for SAS, multiple times. Each time theyβd found out about his lie and he was rejected, when heβd applied the day after his 18th birthday he was accepted and would fall under the evaluation of captain John Price. Price became tough and strict on MacTavish after he recognized his natural skills, exeptional proficiency and relentless dedication.
Throughout his training heβd excelled as a sniper and demolitions and earned the nickname βSoapβ with his speed and accuracy in room clearance within urban warfare tactics. He was the youngest candidate to pass the SAS selection process and did so with the highest possible marks on all three phases of the courses. From there heβd join Task Force 141 under the leadership of Captain Price.
Task Force 141 is a joint multi-national special operations task force and counter-terrorism military unit. The unit was hand selected by and over seen by Captain Price. They worked together, solo, teams, whatever the situation would call for.
