Biography
Lysandra Nemona Malfoy is the youngest child of Lucius and Narcissa Malfoy as well as the fraternal twin sister of Draco Malfoy, born two minutes after him. While Lucius was angry that his wife gave birth to a girl and for the first month refused to have anything to do with her, including naming her, Narcissa gave him an ultimatum, either accept their daughter and finally name her, or she would leave with both their daughter and Draco, never to be seen again. Lucius angrily stormed off towards the nursery and had considered ending the girl's life until he finally came up to her cot, wand in hand before realizing that he had been a fool and that he could not kill her, noticing how beautiful the girl was, having the same eyes as her mother, while also being born a metamorphmagus. He held her for the first time and named her Lysandra, calling her Lyra for short, realizing that he loved the girl quite a bit, trying to make up for the month that he had flat out ignored her whenever he was home.
A year passed as the first war continued, with Lyra's father rising up through the ranks, however, he was one night tasked with murdering a family of opposing half-bloods siding with the Order of the Phoenix, including their newborn twins. But when he came to the cots of the twins, he saw them staring back at them, which suddenly reminded him of his own, leaving him unable to finish the job. Bellatrix Lestrange took over, reporting his failure to the Dark Lord. On the first of August, Voldemort paid the Malfoy's a visit, telling Lucius that failure had consequences as he held Lyra in his arms before making her vanish. Lucius ran towards Voldemort to try to stop him from making his daughter suffer the consequences of his own actions, but Voldemort simply cast the Cruciatus curse at him before telling him that Lyra would only be returned if Lucius managed to redeem himself and if he had failed him again, he would snap Lyra's neck in front of them. It was then that Lucius began to become disillusioned with Voldemort.
Lucius spent the next two months trying to redeem himself in hopes that their daughter would be returned, but nothing seemed to be enough. Then on Halloween night, when Voldemort was seemingly defeated by the baby boy known as Harry Potter, Lucius had nearly given up hope of seeing Lyra alive. With only Voldemort knowing his daughter's location, Lucius turned to alcohol to cope with the loss of his daughter. He had luckily bribed enough officials and led a mix of truth and lies to avoid being sent to Azkaban, stating that part of the time that he was under the effects of the Imperius curse until Voldemort grew bold enough to take his youngest child hostage and threatening to snap her neck if he did not comply. Though the threats were very true, the rest of it was a lie, knowing that if he was in Azkaban it would not only bring shame to their family name, but that he could then not attempt to locate his missing daughter either.
In the time of Voldemort's seeming demise, Lyra had been magically transported out of the realm that Voldemort had trapped her in, somehow ending up in Los Angeles, California in the United States. Being found seemingly abandoned by her family, the baby girl was put up for adoption. She was later adopted by a newly wed couple, who had fallen in love with the girl. They named her Sophie, and raised her against what her biological parents' values, especially as the couple that adopted Lyra were muggles or rather no-maj as they were called in the United States.
The couple ran a detective agency together in the city and raised Lyra or rather Sophie to be an incredibly sweet and kind girl, though had become aware of her ability to change her appearance at will. Her adoptive mother Madolyn who went by Maddie, wanted Sophie to hide her ability so that no one would try to take her from them, while her adoptive father David, told her that she could use her ability, but only when at home or when they were alone. Maddie was a former model, and often dressed Sophie up in the cutest dresses, while David would spoil her with treats all the time, especially ice cream and candy.
Lucius spent the next three years using every contact he had available and spending thousands of galleons attempting to search for a lead on the whereabouts of Lyra. Finally, one of his contacts informed him about a four year old girl matching Lyra's description with metamorphmagus abilities living in the United States a week before Christmas. Due to how incredibly rare metamorphmagi were, the chances of one being the same age as his daughter with a similar description being different people were slim to none. So Lucius went to find the girl to see for himself.
Once arriving at the detective agency, Lucius pretended to seek the services of the Addison's in helping find his missing daughter. When Sophie walked in, Lucius was able to see the girl's features, realizing she had the exact same eyes as his wife, while she had his hair color amongst other Malfoy features. Lucius also noticed that through the girl's fear, her hair color had changed from it's normal white-blonde hair color to pink, though it was a slow process, witnessing the girl's metamorphmagus abilities and confirming his suspicions. Once the Addison's arrived and David picked up his daughter, Lucius became furious at the muggle for laying his hands on his child, telling them that they had something that belonged to him, implying Sophie was that something. David had Maddie take Sophie into his office, telling Sophie that there was hidden candy there while he escorted Mr. Malfoy out. Lucius threatened David and his family, who retaliated by beating him up before throwing him out of the office.
David took Sophie out for ice cream to try to get her mind off of the man that terrified her, but it wasn't enough. Sophie ended up sleeping in her parents bed every single night, terrified that the scary man would hurt her family. On Christmas Eve, her father got her one last minute present that she was allowed to open early. A stuffed pink unicorn rabbit that lit up in the dark that she named Mr. Snuggles, with her adoptive father telling her that it would keep her safe. And while it brought Sophie enough comfort to sleep in her own room that night, the family did not expect her to be missing the following morning.
That night, Lucius apparated into the family home and picked up the sleeping toddler in her sleep before apparating off with her, luckily not causing any splinching. When the Addison's woke up the next morning and went to wake Sophie so she could open presents, they realized that she was gone, and they knew that the man from days prior had to have been behind her disappearance.
When Sophie woke up, she found herself in a strange place and was completely terrified. Once she realized that the man who took her was scary man from days earlier, she begged to go home. Narcissa thought Lucius had lost his mind and had just kidnapped a random child until he had proof that this girl was their missing daughter. Sophie wouldn't come anywhere near Lucius, fearing that he would hurt her. Narcissa had tried her best to help their daughter re-adjust to being home, explaining as best as she could to the terrified girl that they were her parents and that someone took her away from them when she was a baby, but Lyra had a hard time comprehending everything due to her age. She also still feared her father, despite Narcissa's insistence that they had been looking for her for a very long time and that he loved and missed her dearly. Lyra found Narcissa to be kinder than Lucius, who she still believed would hurt her.
Lyra's fears were not allayed when Lucius lost his temper with his daughter, who kept begging him to bring her home to her parents for several years, calling his daughter ungrateful, often beating her when he became annoyed on her insisting to go home so much that his wife had to interfere, causing him to realize that he was just making things worse for her and terrifying her even more, realizing that it wasn't her fault that she had associated with the muggle trash that she had been for three years of her life. Though the beatings had stopped a few months later, Lyra learned to soon stop asking to go back home, knowing that he would never bring her back to her parents.
Lyra soon grew accustomed to life with her biological family, though hated how they treated others, especially those they considered beneath them. As she grew older, she began to plot a way to escape them and to return home, using her cunning to convince them that she cared about them when she couldn't really stand them. Lyra found them incredibly rude and horrible people, though she seemed to hate Draco far less. Despite his spoiled and rude attitude, she had become rather close to her brother due to their twin connection, trying to impart some of her kindness onto him, hoping that it wasn't too late to change him like it was too late to change their parents.
Once Lyra turned eleven and there were talks of sending her and Draco to a magical boarding school and Lyra soon formed a plan to escape the clutches of her evil, vindictive family so she could return home. She was taken to get her school supplies, and despite her brother being rude when he met Harry, Lyra was incredibly sweet and kind, it was just who she was. She wasn't like her family, having a kind and gentle soul who didn't take on the traits of those she was related with. When September 1st came, Lyra got on the train, telling Draco she was going to use the restroom. While her parents were distracted with her brother, Lyra managed to sneak off the train with her backpack containing some clothes, snacks, Mr. Snuggles, and her wand, leaving the platform and getting as far away from them as she possibly could.
Lyra managed to sneak aboard a flight to the United States where she felt finally safe from the Malfoy's clutches. Once she arrived in New York, Lyra managed to find the nearest police station where she reported herself as a victim of kidnapping that managed to escape. The detective took her statement, gathering as much detail as possible before going through the missing person's database and confirming her story. The detectives contacted her parents, who had been devastated since she went missing seven years prior. Maddie and David got on the first flight to New York they could, hoping that the girl that claimed to be their missing adoptive daughter was actually her, knowing they had a few fakes in the past trying to pass themselves off as her.
When the Addison's arrived at the police station, Lyra had been brought out to them. Overjoyed to see them, she ran immediately to them in tears and hugged them tightly, thinking she would never see them again. David was far more skeptical than Maddie and started questioning Lyra about her childhood with them, including about the present she was given that Christmas Eve and what she named it. Lyra pulled out the stuffed animal and correctly told him the name Mr. Snuggles, the name of which was never given to the press. This was sufficient enough evidence for them to believe that Lyra really was Sophie. Lyra had gained a British accent due to her time in the UK, something she tried to change acout herself because it made her feel icky as it reminded her of her time with the despicable Malfoy's, though it was something she couldn't quite get rid of.
The family returned home and Lyra explained everything that had gone on in the past seven years. She said that they had proof that she was biologically theirs, and begged her parents not to send her back. Lyra told them that while her biological family was very wealthy, they were cruel and vindictive people that only cared about wealth, power, and blood status. When asked what Lyra meant about blood status, Lyra admitted that she was a witch, a pure-blooded witch, and so were her biological family, as well as what half-bloods and muggle-borns were. She then explained that her adoptive parents were muggles. Lyra told them that the only way she was able to escape was due to her convincing them that she accepted them as her parents, despite the fact that she despised the way they thought they were better than others and that her biological father used to beat her when he lost his temper with her, admitting that he had hurt her the day she escaped when she stopped him from beating a house-elf for dropping something on the floor by getting in between them.
Though Lucius hadn't meant to harm his child, he was irritated by her interfering. He hadn't realized that he had broken his daughter's arm, having hidden the evidence so she could give it to the police. Lyra had also spied on her father's business, hoping to gather any evidence that she could to implicate him so that he could never come after her, being far too busy with the law to even have a chance to come back for her. Lyra told them that now that she had a wand and had practiced some basic self-defense spells over the summer, she would be able to try to protect herself and them if they ever came after her.
The Malfoy's were soon informed that their daughter had not arrived at the school when she was called to be sorted and was nowhere to be found. Lucius was furious, blaming Dumbledore for losing his child and threatened to have him removed as Headmaster for it. Search parties were sent out for Lyra, with them being none the wiser regarding her actually running away from the platform in the first place. In the meantime, the police in New York had managed to get in contact with the police in the UK regarding the kidnapping of Sophie Addison by the Malfoy's. Eventually the Ministry of Magic was informed of the potential kidnapping and an inquiry was made, where Lucius told them that he only took back the child from the muggles who had her, that it could not be kidnapping if it was his own child. Providing proof by submitting the DNA test results he had requested from St. Mungo's, Lucius was soon released from all charges and inquires regarding the kidnapping, though the Ministry refused to tell him how they obtained such information.
Sophie had used her metamorphmagus abilities to change her appearance on a more permanent basis to evade detection by anyone who sought to bring her back. Though letters soon arrived for Sophie to attend Ilvermorny, the family refused to send her, destroying the letters and refusing to send her. However, due to Lucius' threats to the Ministry for not finding his missing daughter quicker and what he could do if she wasn't found and returned. Aurors were dispatched to locate Lyra. Due to Lyra's metamorphmagus abilities, the Ministry sent Lucius' niece Nymphadora Tonks to locate the girl.
Tonks reluctantly searched for her missing cousin, learning Lucius had abducted her from a family in America seven years prior after she was taken hostage by Voldemort. Expecting Lyra to be as horrible as the other Malfoy's, she was shocked to learn that her cousin was an incredibly sweet girl who wanted nothing to do with her biological family after being able to tell the girl was just like her, despite her changed appearance. Tonks approached her, and tried to apprehend the girl, but Lyra pleaded with her not to force her to go back, that she despised the Malfoy's and she just wished to be left with her adoptive parents, not caring that they weren't her real parents or that they were muggles and that she loved them more than anything in the world. Tonks knew that sending her back to the Malfoy's would be cruel, and that her cousin was a good person. Not wanting her to end up like them, she helped Lyra fake her own death. Tonks told Lucius that Lyra had killed herself, unable to cope with the abuse she suffered at his hand, knowing that Lyra admitted to being beaten by him and that he took her away from a family that loved her more than anything in the world. Tonks told him that he traumatized her so much that she couldn't bear the thought of being around him so she took her own life, drilling the point in so that Lucius would drop the subject and leave Sophie in peace.

Lucius Malfoy is the biological father of Lysandra Malfoy. Despite not wanting anything to do with her for the first month of her life, Lucius eventually comes to accept her and is the one to name her. He begins to dote on her, trying to make up for the month that he ignored her and his previous attempt to end her life due to how he felt betrayed that she was born female instead of Narcissa giving him two male heirs. Lucius' love for his daughter is what prevents him from murdering two half-blood twins who remind him of his own children, and thus ends up being punished by Voldemort, who makes Lyra vanish and threatens to snap her neck if he fails him again, only promising to return her unharmed if he redeems himself, though Voldemort ends up not being defeated by the baby Harry Potter, but also has no intention of returning Lyra to her family to begin with. This causes Lucius to begin to become disillusioned with Voldemort, causing him to turn to alcohol to attempt to rid himself of the guilt for being the cause of his daughter's disappearance.

Lucius' obsession with Lyra's return home leads him to kidnap her back from the muggles that raised her, despite the fact that she was terrified of him and ended up hating him. Still Lucius adores his daughter and is willing to go to any lengths to keep her safe, even if it means defying Voldemort to do so as he is unwilling to lose her ever again.

Narcissa Malfoy is the biological mother of Lysandra Malfoy. Due to her husband's refusal to accept their daughter during the first month of her birth, Narcissa was the one to give her all of the attention before giving Lucius an ultimatum, either accept their daughter and finally name her or she would take both of their children and he would never see any of them ever again. Once Lucius accepted her and named the girl, Narcissa was happy she was finally accepted. She loved both of her children equally, but when Voldemort took her daughter away she was devastated. Despite Lucius' best efforts, Voldemort never returned Lyra before his first demise.
Unlike Lucius, Narcissa had grown to the accept the fact that their daughter was likely gone and that they would never see her again, trying to focus on Draco and hiding all remnants of Lyra's existence from him until one Christmas day when Draco was four, Lucius returned him with a sleeping child that he claimed was their daughter, having DNA evidence that she was. Narcissa as thrilled, and while Lyra was terrified of them at first, she was less terrified of her biological mother, who did her best to explain everything to her, despite Lyra still being a toddler. She was extremely overprotective of Lyra, not letting her out of her sight for fear that she would simply vanish once more.

Draco Malfoy is the older twin brother of Lysandra Malfoy. After his sister's disappearance, Narcissa had all traces of Lyra's existence hidden away from Draco as she did not wish to upset him with the knowledge that he had a younger twin sister who was gone. But when his father returned with her on Christmas morning, Draco was quite upset, not wanting anything to do with her at first. His parents forced him to befriend Lyra, and while they didn't get at long at first, when someone tried to bully his sister, Draco was the one to stand up for her and protect her. The two of them became rather close, with Lyra being able to trust him, despite thinking he was a spoiled brat.

David Addison is the carefree and playful adoptive father of Lysandra Malfoy aka Sophie Addison. They adored her from the minute they laid eyes on her. Sophie had no problems forming a bond with her new parents due to being only about 18 months old at the time of her adoption and not really remembering her biological family. David discovered Sophie's shapeshifting ability early and encouraged her to practice from a young age, though told her to only do so when they were alone so that no one would take her away. When Sophie was four and it was a week before Christmas, Lucius Malfoy came in and tried to claim Sophie was his missing daughter, but David, being the overprotective type, had his wife take Sophie out of the room and beat Lucius up for threatening him and his family.
Noticing how terrified his adoptive daughter was, on Christmas Eve he let Sophie open a gift he purchased last minute early, a pink stuffed unicorn rabbit that lit up, allowing Sophie to sleep in her bed for the first time all week, though would later regret forcing her to sleep in her own bed. Upon waking up the next morning he was devastated to learn that Sophie had gone missing, though he knew exactly who had done it, he didn't have very many leads to go on besides the guy's name and the fact that he had a British accent. Despite his best efforts, David was unable to find Sophie until she had succeeded in running away seven years later.

Madolyn "Maddie" Addison is the serious, yet loving adoptive mother of Lysandra Malfoy aka Sophie Addison. Due to infertility issues surrounding her previous pregnancy with David, Maddie and David decided to look into adoption instead. The two fell in love with a beautiful 18 month old girl that they adopted and named Sophie. Sophie had no problems bonding with her new parents and was especially close to them. Maddie would dote on Sophie by dressing her up in cute dresses and curling her white-blonde hair. Noticing her daughter's shapeshifting abilities early, she tried to have her daughter suppress them, fearing that she would be seen using them and taken away from them and used in some government experiments.
When Lucius Malfoy came to their office to try to claim Sophie as his missing daughter, Maddie took Sophie out of the room as her husband asked to protect her. Though David had beaten the guy up, Maddie feared that Lucius would try to take Sophie from them by force. Sophie refused to sleep in her own bed and wanted to sleep with her parents, which Maddie immediately agreed to for the safety of their daughter. While David loved his daughter, he wanted some alone time with his wife on Christmas Eve and gave Sophie a present that allowed her to finally sleep in her own bed. When they went to wake Sophie to open presents the next morning and discovered her missing, Maddie was distraught and ended up falling into a deep depression regarding her daughter's disappearance. Though she went to therapy to work through this, the thought of her daughter's safety never left her mind. When Sophie ran away from the Malfoy's seven years later and was finally returned home, Maddie felt like her heart was finally whole once more.
