CT-5597, nicknamed "Jesse," was an Advanced Recon Commando and Clone Lieutenant who served in the 501st Legion during the Clone Wars. Like all Clone Troopers, he was bred from the genetic template of Jango Fett and trained to serve in the Grand Army of the Republic. Driven by a sense of patriotism, Jesse was a loyal soldier who fought hard to defeat the enemies of the Galactic Republic. He was proud of his service in the Republic Military, wearing the Republic crest as a facial tattoo and on the helmet of his armor.
As a Trooper in the 501st Legion, Jesse served under the command of Jedi General Anakin Skywalker and Clone Captain CT-7567 'Rex'. He also served under another Jedi Superiors General Obi-Wan Kenobi and briefly General Pong Krell, who ordered Jesse's execution alongside CT-5555 'Fives' for disobeying his orders during the Battles of Umbara. Jesse was spared by his fellow Clones, however, while Krell was revealed as a traitor to the Republic.
By the time of the Battle of Anaxes, Jesse had joined the ranks of the Advanced Recon Commandos and was outfitted with Phase II ARC Trooper Armor.
Jesse joined the 332nd Division, a detachment of the 501st created by Skywalker and led by the newly promoted Clone Commander Rex, shortly after the Battle of Yerbana. He served with the former Jedi Commander Ahsoka Tano during the Siege of Mandalore, where the Sith Lord Maul was successfully captured and being returned to Coruscant for trial, but then turned against her as a result of his secret programming which compelled him to comply with Order 66—the command to exterminate the Jedi Order for treason.
In the ensuing skirmish aboard the Venator-class Star Destroyer 'Tribunal', Jesse took command of the division and demoted Commander Rex for refusing to execute Tano. Despite the Lieutenant's efforts to carry out the will of the Sith Lord Darth Sidious, Tano and Rex both survived by escaping from the Star Destroyer as it crashed on a moon, resulting in his death and the deaths of all other Clones aboard.
Tano and Rex buried Jesse alongside his men, and used their helmets as grave markers.

Kix, originally designated CT-6116, was a Clone Medic who served in the Grand Army of the Republic's 501st Legion under the command of Jedi General Anakin Skywalker during the Clone Wars. Throughout the course of the war, Kix maintained a close friendship with CT-5597, a fellow Clone of the 501st nicknamed 'Jesse'. The two frequently accompanied each other on missions.
In 21 BBY, Kix fought at the Battle of Saleucami, where he served under the command of Jedi General Obi-Wan Kenobi. (General Skywalker was on a separate mission at the time.) His Captain, CT-7567 'Rex', was shot and injured during the battle, forcing Kix, Jesse and Hardcase to leave him in a local homestead for his safety.
In 20 BBY, Kix participated in the Republic invasion of the planet Umbara, where the 501st was placed under the control of Jedi General Pong Krell, much to the disdain of Kix and his fellow Clone Troopers. It was later discovered that Krell secretly worked against the Republic, causing Kix and the 501st to arrest, detain, and execute the fallen Jedi.
After witnessing his close comrade CT-5385 'Tup' unwillingly shoot down and kill Jedi Master Tiplar, Kix became suspicious after the death of ARC-Trooper Fives when he exposed a potential plot against the Jedi and conducted his own investigation. The medic eventually discovered the Sith conspiracy: every Clone had an inhibitor chip implanted in their brains, which would allow Supreme Chancellor Sheev Palpatine to send out an order to execute the Jedi. However, the Confederacy of Independent Systems abducted Kix after his involvement in the Battle of Anaxes and before he could act on his findings. He was frozen in stasis where he remained for fifty years until a band of pirates led by Sidon Ithano discovered him. Having awoken in a time long after the fall of the Galactic Republic and the Jedi Order, Kix joined the crew of the Crimson Corsair as the very last Fett Clone.
