Welcome boys and girls to my campfire stories and my name is Lola Crimson your host with the most. Do take a seat by my lovely campfire while helping yourself to my candy apples and s'mores as you listen to my tales coming from my world of nightmare vault and that will never have an happy ending all there will ever be is death. So do enjoy our second tale it is called the grandfather gone so do enjoy our second tale.
One morning in a large house somewhere in Texas, Maureen Noris opens a gift from her grandfather, Richard Jones, and Maureen as she wonders their lives will never be the same again. The day before the gift arrived she got a call from her mother that her grandfather was found dead at home while the cops never found the killer as the news puts Maureen in the greatest shock hearing this from her mother. Maureen opens the gift it end up being a warped hat as Maureen wonders why he sent her this hat as she was looking at it. Maureen puts the hat in the closet after that she never saw it again because if she did was cry.
Now Maureen is trying to rebuild her life from the death of her grandfather, Maureen witnesses a crime that leads her to questions what really happened to her grandfather. Maureen becomes obsessed with a beautiful older woman who is stranger to Maureen by the name of Kathy Jones as Maureen wonders what is her connection to Richard her grandfather, and why has she turned up now? At first Kathy wasn't saying much because she couldn't understand why Maureen was questioning her what she knew of her grandfathers death the question took Kathy by surprise.
Now Maureen's behaviour becomes increasingly angry as she struggles to unravel the truth and the significance of a warped hat because that was the gift her grandfather has sent her, all the while now she is battling with anxiety. Kathy knew the death of her grandfather was bothering Maureen Kathy notices the changes in Maureen. As Kathy tells Maureen they used to be friends in college but has no idea who will kill him but Maureen wasn't buying nothing Kathy was saying because her grandfather never mentioned her not whatsoever. The anxiety was so bad Maureen couldn't sleep at night not at all nor did she eat much all because she wasn't much hungry these days as she eats very little.
Every day, when Maureen tries to get close to the truth but the closer she gets, the more terrifying it seems to be getting yet Maureen has a hard time to believe that this new friend had no hand in this because she does know the killer was never found. Maureen found the whole story she got from Kath that she knows nothing about his death since she was his friend and how come her grandfather never mentioned her at all. Maureen keeps remembering the crime and wonders if she will ever get to the truth who killed her grandfather and why was he killed because not knowing nothing is killing her.
Maureen went to visit Kathy at some point she got the womans address as Kathy told her to visit her some time. When she saw the woman she seems very much out of her mind as the woman has a gun in her hand as she has that craze look all she is doing now is looking at the gun back at Maureen then back to the gun very silent. Maureen now asking what is going on all the while Kathy stumbling her words " I don't know." next minute after she said that she drew her gun on Maureen " he never wanted me so I killed him like I will now kill you." she shot Maureen right between the eyes after that she turns the gun on herself as she blows her own brains out as both now lay dead on the floor.
The neighbors heard the gun firing as they told the address where the shots came from as the operator says the police is on their way. When the police arrived at the scene they found the two dead bodies not sure who shot who and why someone would do this then take their own as they called it in then after it went into investigation because the police wants to know what happen and why there was two dead bodies as the investigation went on while not much leads to go by on so the case almost went cold case.
