About me:
From a young age Leslie Briar was gifted with the art of singing. His parents encouraged his passion, and raised him with a flair for music. Incited by his desire to create, and share music with the world he began performing at the age of ten. His parents entered him in just about everything they could, talent shows, competitions, local festivals, you name it and Leslie was most likely going to be there singing his heart out. While his angelic voice was obviously what caught most people's attention, it was also his kindness that drew people in. That, and the boy radiated warmth like a ray of sunshine. His undying optimism was also an admirable trait the boy had. He gained a decent following over the years, his biggest fans being his parents of course. His dream of becoming a singer seemed closer, and closer every day. However, at the age of fifteen Leslie Briar became an orphan when his parents died in a fatal car crash. The driver having been under the influence of alcohol at the time. It was his mother's estranged sister that adopted the boy. When she heard him sing one day she knew she had her next star. Vivian Lake was an owner of a record label, nothing big but the company had enough weight that it had produced a star here and there over the years but it had been a long five years since Golden Lake Records had created a star. But now Vivian had Leslie who had the voice of an angel, a heart of gold, and was naive as he was optimistic. He was perfect. Vivian encouraged and nurtured his passion for music till he signed on to her company. It didn’t take long before the boy shot off into stardom with proper management and promotion. As her nephew became more successful Vivian began viewing him as nothing more than a source of income.
Leslie loved his life in flashing lights. It was all so new, and with the help of his aunt’s company he was able to share his music with even more people than before. While his passion for music was originally his motivation, after the accident Leslie pushed himself harder in remembrance of his parents. By the time Leslie turned eighteen he was everywhere. You couldn’t turn the radio on without hearing one of his songs, his face plastered on magazines, social media always updating with news of his life. He even appeared on The Jane Romero Show to talk about his rise to fame, about the tragic loss of his parents and the savior his aunt became, lifting him up into the spotlight while being a single caretaker for the boy. He had it good. It was when he decided to go on tour that his life once again took a tragic turn. They had been driving for a couple days in between venues when the tour bus got a flat in the middle of the night. While his aunt had warned him to stay near the bus as they waited for roadside assistance, the teen couldn’t help but feel drawn into the surrounding woods, the fog oddly alluring. So, unwisely the boy ventured off the path of safety into the waiting arms of danger. His aunt searched for him for hours with the aid of her team to no avail. Search parties came up empty handed, the only remaining presence of the pop star was his phone which they had found in an eerie clearing. The world mourned for the ray of sunshine that was Leslie Briar. His aunt however profited heavily from his disappearance. She went on numerous talk shows, podcasts, any form of media attention she could get she took. After months of following a cold trail the police had no choice but to pronounce Leslie dead. His aunt made sure to televise his funeral, charge admission for fans to visit his tombstone, re-released his discography, and made sure any form of music he had was released, finished or not. The tour that saw to his demise was also revived by his aunt, a hologram of himself taking his place. She renamed the tour Leslie Briar: Eternal.
