Gavin feels like he is drowning
Every time he swims to the surface
Something grabs at his leg and pushes him back down
He tries to struggle and scream but water enters his lungs.
He sinks further and further down
The fight becomes a struggle
He extends his arm out in hopes of rescue
Will anyone rescue him

Billy nodded, struck silent for a moment at the revelation that Gavin had never known his mother. A deceased mother who had been in no state to be a parent and a father he hadn't even known about until recently. He couldn't imagine how untethered and lost he must have felt in the world. "I see," he said after a moment. His dad had never dabbled in drugs, that he knew about, but there was a lot he didn't really know about his father. "Didn't say we had to trade any stories." He gave a shrug. "I was just curious about your mother, since you're my half-brother and all. Figured it wasn't a happy story if you were here, but I know dad wasn't going to tell me anything, so I had to ask."

He was interested to hear that Gavin believed Hank would grow tired of him and throw him out. "No," Billy said, shaking his head. "He won't do that. You see, my dad has a certain reputation to uphold in this town. He'll keep you under this roof, just so there's no gossip about it. Everyone's already going to be talking about you, so he'll make the best of it. He's all about maintaining his image." Billy didn't see the point in sugarcoating the truth. Hank cared about what people said about him. He cared about holding onto his career and making money. He didn't care about much else. Gavin would figure that out soon enough anyway. "You have his blood, so he'll want everyone to think we're a happy family here. He practices family law, after all." Billy gave a small scoff after he revealed that. "Can you believe it?"

He nodded when Gavin agreed to keep himself scarce. The kid didn't seem excited about school in a new town, but who would be? "I'm sure it won't be that bad. Just tell dad if you need anything. School supplies, clothes, whatever. He'll give you the money for it." That was one of the only parental things that Hank really did. He raised an eyebrow when Gavin insisted he'd handle school on his own. "You say that now, but this is a town where everyone has known everyone since we were all kids. You're going to be new and different to them. Everyone's gonna be in your business. Trust me." He listened to what Gavin said about Hank probably knowing about his existence long ago and doing nothing about it. He ran a hand over his hair, exhaling a breath. "I don't know," he said honestly. "I really don't. I had no idea he was up to sh*t until my mom suddenly walked out. He and I aren't close. He was always busy. It makes sense why he was always so distant now, though."

Billy was angry as well when it came to his dad's lack of morals, but he pushed it down. He was angry about so much lately. His father was continuing his affair with Maureen Prescott, but as far as he could tell, that was the only affair he was still having. Billy needed to end that if he wanted his mother to come back. He was in the middle of those plans, but he couldn't get distracted thinking about it right now. "Blood doesn't always mean something, but sometimes it can." He wasn't sure about Gavin. This kid was too young to be as cynical as he was. He had seen too much of the dark side of life. There didn't seem to be any hope inside him, but maybe there was deep down if he was there. "Just give it a chance, I guess," Billy said. "It's better than being out on the streets, right?" Maybe it wasn't. Billy had no idea. "What kind of things do you like? Hobbies? Interests?" This guy had such a tough exterior. Billy grasped for some common ground as he stood in the doorway, watching him move around the room.

Billy raised an eyebrow when the kid clasped his hand briefly and then quickly wiped his hand like his touch had repelled him. So, he definitely wasn't the type to cloak how he felt behind false charm. That was one way in which he differed from Billy and Hank. He seemed to have a distaste for all of them -- not that Billy could really blame him. The atmosphere in the house was chilly and unwelcoming at best, even though Hank was trying to put on a front like he was father of the year. It seemed like Gavin could already see through that. Probably because Hank Loomis hadn't bothered to claim his younger son until the law had required it.

Billy kept one ear on the conversation going on in the living room as they headed up the stairs, but soon it faded. It sounded like Gavin had a lot of problems and hadn't been good at hiding them. Not like Billy was. They stood outside the bedroom for a moment, an awkward silence descending on them until Gavin suddenly broke it. Billy's dark eyes widened in shock, and he glanced over at his half-brother. "Why would I hate you?" He asked, his tone smooth and a little shocked. "I don't even know you." It was true that he wasn't fond of having to share his space, but hatred seemed like too strong of a word. Even though Billy didn't really feel anything like sympathy or empathy, he still found himself grasping for something to say to make this transition a little less rough. "I'm sure we have some things in common," he tried. "We have the same blood, after all. Right?"

He wasn't sure if that was a good or a bad thing. He was pretty sure the rage and the craziness in him came from his mother's side, not his father's, so maybe Gavin wasn't the same type of f***ed up that Billy was. Only time would tell. He glanced down at the floor when Gavin's bag tipped over, his eyebrows raising when he saw the weapons. Well, sh*t. Maybe they had more in common than he thought. "What was your mother like?" He asked, curious in spite of himself. "Did you know her? Mine left, if you hadn't noticed. She couldn't stand it here anymore." Maybe it was too much for him to drop on this kid right now, but something in him told him that Gavin would appreciate the honesty. "I don't know if I drove her away or if my dad did. Maybe it was both of us, but..." Billy's jaw clenched, his eyes drifting to the window as he got himself under control again. "Doesn't matter now. Let's see how long you last here, huh?" He gestured around the room. "I don't know what you're thinking, but I'm not going to make your life a living hell, if that's what you assume. This place is already a morgue. Doesn't matter to me if you crash here as well."

He glanced around the room. It was spacious, but missing any real touches that made it a home. He doubted that any of them were going to be filling it with photos and memories anytime soon. "Just... stay out of my way. I like my space, and I don't need anyone poking their nose into my business. Got it?" He brushed his bangs out of his eyes, staring hard at Gavin to make sure his words were understood. "I'll show you around school tomorrow. You'll have an easier time if you listen to me. Something tells me that you won't, though. You look like you're used to things being as difficult as possible."

The last thing Billy wanted was a half-brother coming to poke his nose into his business. As lonely as the house had been since his mother had left, he didn't want to share his space with some kid who might figure out what he and his best friend, Stu Macher, had been up to. It had been a few months since they'd stabbed that slutbag bitch Maureen Prescott to death, and just like Billy had planned, they'd gotten away with it easily. Bless the movies for helping him formulate his plan. As more time passed, he began to grow restless again. He spent most of his time at Stu's house since Stu's parents were also rarely around. Stu's house was even bigger, and they were always well stocked with snacks and everything anyone would ever want. Unlike his own place which was deserted with bare cupboards since his mom had abandoned him. Gavin was going to have a hell of a time at the Loomis residence considering the fact Hank was never around if he could help it.

The man had no nurturing instincts. He seemed to have no idea what to do with Billy, and it enraged Billy that his father hadn't bothered to try to get his mom back. He should have been out there trying to track her down, begging on his knees, but instead, he was still off on "business trips" all the time. Maybe the man didn't count it as affairs anymore since his wife had left him, but Billy still did. They were married, and it was like that meant nothing to Hank. Billy mourned the loss of his family, and the fact Hank clearly had another affair years ago, long before that bitch Maureen, pressed Billy's rage buttons as well. He didn't want to kill his own dad. Family meant everything to him, but he couldn't help but resent him.

Just like he resented this new kid that was currently pulling up, living evidence of Hank Loomis's inability to be faithful. Billy pitied and loathed him in equal measures already, but he was good at pretending to be charming. Most people wouldn't guess the inner darkness that lurked right beneath the surface of Billy Loomis's fake smiles and forced manners. For once, Hank was home. He had to make an appearance for the social worker, but he'd be gone again in no time. Billy raised his eyebrows at him for a moment, wondering what fake face his father was going to show Gavin. Probably build him up just to get him disappointed in no time. Billy knew how that felt. He pasted a fake smile on his own face as the kid walked up to the door with the social worker. Hank reached to open it.

Immediately, Billy took note of the kid's sad eyes and demeanor. He looked like he'd been a punching bag most of his life, especially from the way he presented himself. Billy wasn't sure if he was goth or alt or what, but he probably wouldn't fare very well at Woodsboro High. That place was full of normies, cheerleaders, and jocks like Steve Orth who had no idea what was coming to them.

"Hi," Billy said, reaching out to offer his hand to the kid. "I'm Billy Loomis." He played the part of a normal teenager pretty well, even if there was an undercurrent of brooding darkness in him as well. He was known as the bad boy of Woodsboro for a reason, even if he tried to toe the line. "You're Gavin, right? This is my--" He paused, tripping up on his words, a darker expression apparent on his face for just a moment until he quickly pushed it down again. "I mean, our dad." He ground his teeth, but kept his expression light. "Come on in. I'll show you where your room is."

//Hello! :) Thank you so much for the request. I just wanted to give you a quick description of what I can do as Baby. Yes I rp as Baby the Impala :) and I can rp her in four different ways depending on what you prefer. 1) Simply a car, descriptions less feelsy.2) A little more feeling, where Baby seems to have some kind of spirit inside her. 3) She is virtually alive, talks and feels but only trusts Sam and Dean and a few others to reveal herself. 4) Baby has a human form she can use if a situation calls for it, given to her by some sort of angel spell. I am still toying with the details of this option but it is there if you are interested. You can decide which, I am perfectly okay with any of them. I hope to rp with you soon.
